Hello,

I've been reading up on discussions about SK Bio and Sea Emmolient and at this point I am a bit confused.
I am wondering if I could get some consensus on the best source for this product. Seems like GOW has the best prices, but is it the same thing?
Where are you getting your beloved SK Bio? Where would you direct me?
I am also interested in the hair serum at SAS, but overall I seem to understand they are overpriced and would like to get an idea if there is a similar product out there.

Thank you for your help!!

Don't mean to be impatient, but I am surprised I have not received any replies in 24 hours.

Gee, and today is my birthday and feeling rather sad.
Just hit the big 40.

Did I ask a taboo question? Just want everyone to know this question is being asked with all sincerity.

Thanks,

CG

CG, I'm sorry I can't help you with your questions. I wanted to pop in and say Happy Birthday! I was down when I hit 40 ( almost 3 years ago) but you'll see it's just a number. We get better with age! Very Happy

I bought mine from NCN Skincare. I bought the 16 oz bottle for about $25. I don't use it very regularly. I am not sure if I see any benefits. This has nothing to do with NCN Skincare though. I bought some from SAS before, and I tried mixing it in my shampoo and didn't seem to see any difference. I haven't tried using it on my face. I tried mixing it with stuff I bought from SAS in my attempt to DIY. I don't think I'm much of a DIYer though.

Happy birthday! Very Happy

Happy Birthday!!

I bought my first one from SAS... but seems like it's more expensive than others... I've also joined the group buying (from another thread here) for a much cheaper price... but i think next time, i will try NCN... their price are almost as competitive as the group buys...

Happy birthday cg! Don't take lack of response for lack of interest, sometimes the board moves so quickly a post can move off the first page so no one sees it.

Anyway, I purchased 8 oz. of SKB from http://www.ncnproskincare.com/ for $25.00. NCN offers excellent CS, fast shipping and much more reasonable prices for SKB than I've seen from other sources.

I recently ordered seamollient from GOW [ 8 oz. for only $7USD!] but haven't tried it yet so can't report on the results. As far as I know, the primary difference between seamollient and SKB is that SKB is fermented, while the seamollient is not. Some ladies who've used both report that seamollient is just as effective.

Ooops, I made an error in my posting. The size I bought from NCN was also 8 oz, not 16 oz. I still have about half left. It's in my shower stall since I try to use it when I shampoo.

I bought mine as well from NCN Skincare. I love it and will repurchase. I've used it in my shampoo which has activated the curl. I've also used it in my face lotion. It helps with a little firming around my mouth.

Happy Birthday !!! and Welcome to the forum.
I also got mine at NCN 8oz with my sample of Super CP. I have been adding it to different things. I am finding that it is easier to add to the professionally made products than DIY.
Have a fun day

hopeful, good to see you! It sounds like you're using the seamollient exactly the same way I've been using SKB. Can't wait to get it and try it out - if there's no difference, I'll be able to add even MORE seamollient to all my concoctions and not have to be so stingy with it Laughing

Hmmm.... hmm I'll have to check to see if I posted my SKB stuff in this board as well; I've placed it in several forums and can't remember where I put'em all! Laughing

Hi hopeful, I've no idea what diff does it make after fermentation. But i do notice from some magazines which said that La Mer's active ingredient got fermented... so i suppose it's SKB?

I asked about the essential diff between seamollient and SKB on GOW forum. According to Marky, the fermentation breaks down the cell walls of the sea kelp, which means the molecules are smaller, which means the SKB should penetrate better than seamollient.

Once I get my batch of seamollient, I'll likely use it on my hair and reserve the SKB for skincare.

HTH!

thanks anthena and daydreamingda, , i had no clue what the fermented skb meant, i have been using seamollient so far in every thing with great results, i might try the skb too, i want to order some stuff from nancy soon, so i will add this (finally done with school supplies now, spent 357.00 dollars, and had to buy school clothes, way to much, i have 2 girls) so now i can finally splurge on me,so now i can place my order with marky, ncn, aries, candys finally.
athena what else have you put skb in. i didnt get any balling up with seamollient in my serums, but i only put up to 20% in my serum, if i put to much in shampoo i get a little oily the next day, so i have to cut down on the amount, (i always doing everything in big amounts, lol)

hopeful, I'm experimenting with a hair mist right now to keep curls defined and frizz controlled even on the most humid of days. Once I've used it for a few weeks I'll post the recipe! Very Happy
