I'm on the hunt for a good lotion or cream for the am and was hoping some of you could give some recommendations.
SPF isn't necessary because I use an spf separately every morning! I'm looking for something that claims it has "protection from the elements - environmental and pollution" as well as some hydrating factor. I have normal to dry skin but anything that's an HG I wouldn't mind hearing about! |

Hi Kareberry! I use Chrysalyx from Naturderm everyday. It claims to help protect skin from the elements and pollution and I believe it because my skin looks great when I use it!!
If you are looking for something a little heavier for your dry skin, you might consider trying Nature's Gate Organics Have A Vine Day Chardonnay Hydrator. I've never tried this product because I worry about it being too heavy for my acne-prone skin, however, I've always been really tempted by it. Here's what it says on drugstore.com:
Quote: |
The secret to looking your best is keeping your skin deeply hydrated. Our light, silky daytime hydrating cream absorbs quickly and lasts for hours because it is imbued with potent phyto-actives found in Chardonnay Grape Seeds, Mediterranean Olives and Soy. With a revolutionary, age-defying Amino-Peptide Complex and Alpha Lipoic Acid, this cream also actively shields your skin from environmental stresses that can cause inflammation. Your tired-looking skin will appear visibly lifted and smoother, with improved skin elasticity and tone. Best of all you will exude a healthy radiance all day, every day.
Chardonnay Grape Seed (Vitis vinifera)- Throughout antiquity, wine grapes were lauded as the secret to good health and longevity. Our grape seed extract comes from the seeds of white Chardonnay grapes harvested from the venerable Burgundy region of France where it is common for vines to be over 400 years old. In traditional and folk medicine, wine grapes and seeds are commonly used to combat inflammation. Today grape seeds are known to be rich in polyphenoilic components that have extremely powerful antioxidant properties. |

Here we are just nearly at the end of winter. I am currently using the Yonka Creme 28 and i find the product just right for this season to be used for morning/daytime. It is not to heavy and it goes on just right. At start of winter i found my skin to be on the dry side, i bought this on the recommendation of one of the EDS customer service rep and also reading reviews on the forum on Yonka products. But since i started using it i dont feel that dry tightness feeling anymore. Throughout the day i actually feel my skin is nicely moisturized however not oiley. I also am able to put my Bioderma Suncrean fluid version on top of this. |

For some reason, i do not like to put anything on my face in the morning. My face is really bare during the day. I just dont like my face with even a little grease. Although i noticed lately that my face is getting dry during the day. I might start using one but maybe something that is not oily but still hydrating. |

Remergent Barrier Repair is my staple day cream. Suits all skin types and absorbs really easily. |

I'm still a fan of Cellcosmet Ultra Vital. Whether it is hot or cold outside, it does not clog my pores. |

I like using a decleor oil (neroli or ylang ylang) and then layering with hydra floral (sometimes mixed with bit of prolagene). |

I'm a loyal follower of PSF perfecting lotion. It's so nice to use and may seem nothing amazing but I can't live without it! It has a light consistency and is hydrating without being greasy. May be too light for winter though. |

I too use PSF Perfecting lotion and it seems to be OK. Not sure yet if I will repurchase once I finish it. |

I've been using Remergent Barrier Repair Formula for the past month or so. Although I like it, it's certainly not a HG. To me it's just a very basic moisturizer that absorbs very easily yet it's very moisturizing. I think it's overpriced for what it delivers. Would I buy it again? Probably....until I find something that delivers more and doesn't irritate my skin. |
