I got some blackhead on my nose area, thinking of getting a metal thing called blackhead/whitehead remover at sephora $18.00. is it useful? |

I just bought one yesterday!
I wouldn't recommend using the lancer unless you have some experience.. you might really mess up your skin. The blackhead remover is pretty good. I also have their other extractor. I love it. The lancer that you're talking about is great so far. I used it to get rid of this whitehead that's been lingering for months. I also used it for blackheads on my nose. Works well but be careful. |

I have a similar one from Earth Therapeutics. It's cheaper than Sephora.

You just have to be careful not to press down too hard, otherwise, works great. |

I've been using a similar one for ages...
it works but it's tricky. as Yen said, u gotta be really careful when u do it...
most importantly, DONT use it when u will be going out for a function. coz the spots being treated will get red and it takes HOURS to clear! i usually do it at night before i go to bed, so tht the redness wil be gone (sometimes not 100%!) by the time i wake up next morning! |

I totally agree with using it in the evening. I use it after I cleanse my face, then I dab some tea tree oil on the spots. |

I don't know specifically about the Sephora one. I do know that, like tweezers, all brands are NOT created equal.
You should check the product reviews at MakeupAlley. I think the preferred brand there is Tweezerman. Somewhere in the reviews are some very detailed instructions for how to use the tool as well. It does take a bit of effort to get the hang of. But they absolutely work - this is the sort of tool a facialist uses to extract a blackhead. |
