I've been looking through the threads which mention copper peptide uses and they all seem to say that its a great anti-ageing serum....but Im wondering if anyone who has acne or want to reduce the acne scars uses the SRCP?
I'm hoping to place an order for NCN's pumpkin peel early next month and would like to also use the SRCP for acne and scars.
Any help is appreciated |

I use super cop serum, and the thing is start slowly, and expect your old acne marks to get worse before they get better. Mine got darker at first, and then you must exfoliate to get rid of them. The marks kind of come to the surface of your skin, get darker, and then come off with exfoliation - but it is a slow process, and some say it could take 6 months to a year to see results. I have been using a year now, and I definitely see improvement. |

6 months to a year ! Well just as long as it does remove the old acne marks, then its all worth it.
How worse did the marks look when you first started using SRCP?
Did you buy the CP serum then built your way up to the super cop first?
And how does it work for acne? And when applied to fresh acne marks, does it heal it faster?
Sorry for all the question, but the CP serum is kinda expensive and is in quite a big bottle |

I started with the regular serum, then mixed it with water at first slowly building up to 10 drops of only cp serum. Then I moved to super CP mixing with water again, now im at 10 drops solo super cp serum. The marks got a bit darker, it wasn't terrible, and foundation will cover it up, but w/o makeup you can definitely tell. It didnt last long though.
If you are ready to commit to it, I think you will be pleased in the long run. Its actually not that expensive in the long run cause it lasts a long time. |

Are you ladies talking about Super CP serum, or Super Cop. The Super Cop is a lot stronger.
I'm presently using Super CP serum and have a long way to go to finish the 4oz. bottle and then I would like to move up to Super Cop. |

Thanks amylola.
Yes, the Super Cop is a cream and is stronger than the Super CP serum.
Then, there is the Super Cop X2 which is again stronger. |

I use Super CP Serum for anti-aging issue (firmness/fine lines). Thank you for posting your experience regarding acne scaring. My daughter has breakouts under control but does have some scaring. I will see if I can get her committed to using Copper Peptides.
What you say is so true. Results are very slow but will come with regular use. |

Thanks for all your replies!
Debster---when did you start the serum? And has it faded your scars yet?
Thanks |

Yeahyeah,
I started to use Regular CP serum in November, and in April I started the Super CP serum.
I started to notice some lightening of old acne scars when I started on the Super CP serum, and a sun spot on my cheek has lightened quite a bit. Nothing that foundation won't cover up, though, so I'm quite happy about that. |

Thanks Debster. So do you recommend that I should buy the Super CP serum instead of just using regualr strength, ir would that be too much for my skin to handle at first? Thanks |

Yeahyeah, Not debster here but just thought I would add my two cents. I have used copper petide serum for over 10 months. It has helped fade my scars. I plan to move up to super cp serum when I re-order. My skin is pretty strong and even now, ocassionally the CP still makes my skin feel itchy. I think if you go straight to Super CP serum, then you might have to really dilute it with water and only apply every second / third night. |

I am not Debster but as a CP user I suggest you start with CP Serum. After you finish you can advance to Super CP Serum. I used the regular CP's for three months. It took my skin several weeks to get use to it. CP's are very powerful actives. Go slow with strengths and you will find it is well worth it.
My first purchase was 4 oz. of CP Serum. That was a mistake. A little serum goes a long way. If I had to do it over again I would have purchased 1 oz. CP Serum. I now use the left over CP Serum on my hands and delotee. My skin became ready for Super CP's after three months.
Debster might have other suggestions. I am using CP's for anti-aging not acne.
Good luck yeahyeah |

nickiegirl,
The nice thing about CP's is most anyone can use them. If you skin is sensitive I would suggest starting off with CP Serum once a day (every other day). If you find that is strong for your skin you can dilute it with equal parts water.
You can always go the GHK-Copper Serum route. From my understanding people are loving the GHK copper. It is gentle on sensitive skin. I tried a sample and liked it very much. What I did not like was the price. It is much more expensive then CP Serum. Where my face can tolerate CP Serum's I will stick to them. |

Thanks very much dips and Winnie!
On the Nanci's website, she only has the 4oz bottle and I would prefer to order from her as I will order her pumpkin peel as well...and alsowww.skinbiology.com didnt answer my email about shipping charges . Plus with the 4oz bottle, my mum can use this aswell
Hmm, where would the CP serum fit into one's regime? And do you have to wait ?minutes before applying another product on top?
And Winnie, you said anyone can use CP...have you heard of anyone being allergic to it, purging, breaking out etc?
Thanks again!!! |

I agree with Winnie. I would start with regular CP serum first - purchase the loz.
I am also using CPs for anti-aging.
Yes, NCN skincare does sell the loz size, and I would highly recommend getting the pumpkin peel also. It's wonderful.

yeahyea,
I forgot to mention that I've had hormonal breakouts since my teens and that was a long, long time ago.
Since starting on CPs, I have no breakouts - none! I experienced no purging when I started.
The only thing that I've heard is a problem when using CPs are the dreaded "uglies". That's what happens if you use too much before your skin becomes accustomed to the CPs or using too strong a product at first.
If you have acne prone skin, I believe using exfol serum under the serum will alleviate any problems.

Thanks so much for the reply! Its really helpful!
Thanks for the link also...never looked at the sample page for the CP serum
After hearing you guys thoughts of it, Im really looking forward to using the CP serum now. Cant wait til I order it next month!
I was going to order the exfol serum but Im using Jan Marini's bioclear (have 2 bottles of this!)...but if anyone can persuade me that the exfol is heaps better than bioclear... |

Jan Marini has excellent products. You should do very well using the Bioclear. I suggest using the JM product over Copper Peptides. Good luck yeahyeah. |

Thanks very much Winnie
JM products do seem to work well, but Im still getting acne from using it...and I dont know, it seems that the bioclear is losing its effectiveness on me and the skinbio exfol serum seems to be shouting at me to buy it
So when I get my CP serum, my routine would go:
-Cleanse
-CP serum - would I need to wait before applying my next step?
-JM bioclear/exfol serum - wait 30 minutes
-Jojoba oil - wait a few minutes
-Sunscreen/moisturiser
???
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions |

Are you ladies using CP only for getting rid of scars?
I have been using the regular CP serum for three weeks now. But I don't have any scars, I just hoped it would help me in the anti-aging fight (I'm 43!) |

I use CP's for both scars and anti-aging. I've used CP's for about 3 years now. I haven't always been faithful and used them everynight, but most nights I do. I can't say that they've made a big difference in my skin, but in the time I've used them, my skin hasn't gotten any worse, so I guess they've done something. |

I have been using Super Cop on and off for several years. I really didnt see much until I read on this forum.
Exfoliate, Retin A,Vit C,glycolic peels, sunscreen, use CPs 12 hours apart from C and glycolic peels.(not in that order)
It seems to be working so much better. Exfoliation was the key for me AND being diligent.

I use CP serum for anti-aging. My neck started getting those rings, so I bought the 4 oz CP serum, and used it daily on face, neck, and decollete. I was surprised to get almost immediate results in that my skin was hydrated and glowing, and the rings are so much fainter now.
I think it took me about a year to use the entire 4 oz, LOL! That's at full-strength, and I was pretty faithful about using it daily. So agree with the posters above, just get the 1 oz, as you will probably want to step up faster than I did. I just recently finished my CP serum, and stepped up to Super CP. |
