Kind of dumb but... if theres a picture of you in an online version of a magazine and you dont want your name/picture to be searched via the internet, can you contact the magazine people and will they remove it? |

Why not let the magazine to remove it?
Email the magzine and express your opinion as an official statement. |

It certainly won't hurt to ask them to remove it but I don't think they're under any legal obligation to do so. If the magazine considers your photo to be their copyrighted intellectual property, they can opt to keep it whether wish it or not. This is one of the primary reasons why I'll never post my photo on the internet.
You bring up a good question as it applies to public forums. Is the content on a forum "owned" by the person who posted it, or by the folks who host the forum? I'd be really interested to know this if anyone cares to chime in. |
