My combination skin is very very acne prone.
Now I was told that the physical sunscreens zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are comedogenic, and indeed sunscreen containing those ingredients break me out.
I ordered Sunforgettable loose powder (Colorescience, but also this causes me break outs after a few days usage!
However, I know of no other possibility to "top up" my sunscreen during the day over my make-up than with a loose or compact powder. And I think these always contain zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide.
For example I checkt the ingredients of Shiseido sunscreen compact powder SPF30 about which everyone is raving, but it also has titanium dioxide in it. Still the package claims it is non-comedogenic!
But I don't trust that claim!
Anyone who can advise me about an absolutely non-comedogenic sunscreen powder with at least SPF20???
You would make me very happy!! Thanks a lot!!!! |

I really like La Roche Posay Anthelios 50 face formula, which is different than the Face and Body Formula by the way. It comes in the little bottle and not the tube. I use it all the time and have not had a problem with breakouts. |

Oops! I'm sorry I just read your message again and realized that I didn't see the critical word "powder" in your message. I'll have to read a little more carefully next time. |

My advise is less stuff you put on your face the less chance you get clogged pores. Plus no powder alone will provide you adequate sun protection unless you put on thick a layer of them. Maybe you should consider skipping powder but finding an tinted moisturizer with SPF to give you both the coverage and protection at the same time. |
