Hubby and I would love to visit New York in the fall. We've been to the States many, many times but always to Florida, California or somewhere inbetween so the big apple is still on our "must-do" list. We're looking for somewhere comfortable and central for the shopping (naturally) but don't have a huge budget. Does anyone have any recommendations for cute places to stay that won't break the bank? |

Hotel accommodations are very expensive in NYC! I would recommend finding a neighborhood that suits you then using a website like priceline to get a good deal. Booking a hotel stay for an unpopular time of the year and week is also a good way to get a deal.
I know you said you would like to stay in a central location but you should consider staying in a borough (like a nice part of Brooklyn) in order to get a lower price. As long as you are close to a subway line you are good to go. |

No recommendations but try Trip Advisor, we always book our accommodation from reviews there. |
