Found Ecco Bella lipglosses on sale at my favorite natural food store for only $3.99 and couldn't resist compared to the standard retail of $15 USD. Great find, I love this! Lipgloss comes in a clear plastic tube, sponge applicator and a little mirror on the side I'll probably never use
Application is smooth and creamy without feeling waxy or sticky. It doesn't stay on for that long but since I like to reapply lipgloss for the moisture, that's not really a factor for me. I look for ingredients, color, ease of application, and something that won't melt in my purse on hot days. Ecco Bella fits all my criterion.
The color I selected is fabulous! It's called POWER; a dark fuschia/magenta shade that doesn't look overdone. The downside to this line? Only 4 shades, what's up with that?

Thanks for the review! It's nice to hear a review of this, as I don't have much experience with their cosmetics. I once bought an Ecco Bella lotion that had a tiny lip gloss freebie attached to it as a bonus, and I didn't have the same experience as you - the color was lovely and the smell was nice, but the consistency was weird (in a hard-to-describe way). It's as if the pigments were so powdery within the liquid/gloss suspension that I felt like I was rubbing liquid powder onto my lips. I can't explain it - I can't tell if maybe the pigments weren't as micronized as many, or more so, or what, but it was disconcerting. But I like the color/effect so much that I use it anyway. The actual shade label has long since peeled off so I'm not sure what color it was, but it sounded quite similar to the one you described - a bit shimmery plummy pinky fuschia. If I could track down other colors for just $4, I'd buy all of these just to see if they all feel like that! |

I've used some of this line and enjoy it. I have a blusher and lipstick and two eyeshadows. Very nice products. |
