My skin is in major freak-out mode right now. It is inflamed, itchy, scaly, flaky and reddened. I have been using Dr. H and then today tried a sample of Osea Ocean Cleanser and Atmosphere Protection Cream which I think is too light because my face was SUPER dry and itchy today. I cannot tolerate a lot of essential oils (if any, really) or anything really "active". I am so frustrated and discouraged right now I don't know what to do.
I've heard good things about Suki's Naturals, but I think at this point I will try anything that will make my ired skin feel better. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ali |

From your description, your skin must be allergic.
I will face this problem once enter spring, similar with you.you'd better use nothing on your face or gentle cream which can not bring any stimulation on your face.I once used Sisley ecological compound in this case, easily calm down my skin, but I don't know if it is effective to you.
I feel you have to find what's reason to cause this?season, dehydrate, try much more products on your face?then you will find the solution! |

I agree that you should do as little as possible to your skin until it calms down. Once it's behaving somewhat normally, I would recommend Weleda, especially their Wild Rose Oil... it's to die for and wonderful for dry sensitive skin. HTH! |

Hi, alilicious,
I am a fan of natural products.
If you'd like to try Weleda, among her three facial lines, the "Almond Facial Care" line may be most suitable to your condition.
This is because this line is formulated especailly for sensitive and dry skin, and the ingredients are simple and very moisturing.
Besides Wild Rose Oil caps, you may also consider to try Almond Facial Oil of this line.
The ingredients of the latter are simpler.
Although the ingredients of the former, of course, are also good to mature and dry skin, the latter is better to your condition if your skin is sensitve now.
Suki is lighter than this line of Weleda. |

Ali,
If you cannot tolerate any essential oil, you may not have too much success with natural skin care (since most of them contain EO).
I have similar skin type and found that I have the least reaction with products that are fragrance-free, EO-free, like La Roche Posay toleriane line and vanicream. Boring but I don't get allergic reactions from them.
Hope you find something that works for you. |

You are welcome. Almond line contain no essential oils.
Generally, most doctors, as Mtview says, suggest using products with as simple ingredients as possible.
Moreover, they also teach many natural brands use too many kinds of ingredients.
I agree these points.
However, if people would like to try natural skin lines or brands performing no animal tests, there are also some natural brands/lines for choices.
For example, Lavera, also made in Germany, offers a line containng no essential oils.
Some products by natural brands may contain essential oils suitable for sensitve skin in Aromatherapy. |
