After seeing an add for that razor that claims to "last a lifetime" I googled it and came across a very informative website that is all about razors and shaving (for men buut I prefer using mens razors so it's useful to me)! Thought I'd let everyone here know about it.

That's a really good site Sundew. I'm going to pass it on to my DH. He has one of those faces that he can shave and a half hour later look like he hasn't shaved it days, so he's always trying new razors, aftershave, etc to try and get a closer shave.
So what is the razor that you were googling? It would be nice to find a razor that would last him longer than 3-4 weeks. Blades aren't cheap. |

Hi Diana it is called the infinity razor. I don't think it's a good razor from what I found. Here is a pretty good review on it:

BUT I have read that cryogenically treated razors last much much longer than regular blades and there is science to back that claim up. I really would like to order some of these one day:

ETA: OMG I just went to that company's mother company website and they cryogenically treat panty hose for $1! LOL |

Cryogenically treated panty hose? How would freezing panty hose make them stronger? I am one of those people that buy the more expensive panty hose, and still end up getting a run in them the first time I use them, so if that made them stronger than I may have to try it.
Back on subject, I went to greatrazors.com and one of the brands they sell is Gilette Fusion. That is the kind my DH is using now. I just asked him how long a blade lasts him and he said it depends on whether I touch it or not. He says a blade usually lasts him about 3 weeks, whereas other brands would last him about a week. |

Sundew, why do you prefer using men's razors? How do they perform when shaving your legs - do they tend to cut less? Sorry for all the questions but razors are costing me a fortune and I'm never *completely* satisfied! |

Hi Chimera, I like using guys razors because, despite what they claim, I have found they shave better. What I mean by better is that the razors seem to make my legs a lot smoother. For example, I recently went and bought the Shick Quatro for women and was sorely disappointed considering I had been using their men's Xtreme 3 disposables with much better success. I'm not sure about cutting less because I've never had that problem with either men's or women's razors, sorry |

That sounds great! I think I will try a men's razor when I'm out of Venus refills. If they last even longer I will be in heaven. |
