Bronzers always look orange on me, no matter what. Any suggestions for one that isn't too orange and isn't too sparkly? Preferably a compact or powder, not a cream or liquid.
Thanks! |

I've had that problem with bronzers turning orangey, too! Here's some powder bronzers that I've used and like:
Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunkissed - Favorite - Nice, believable color, not too dark, no discernible shimmer.
Tart Park Avenue Princess - close second
NARS Laguna - Nice color, but a little too gold & shimmery for me
Chanel Irreelle Soleil Silky Bronzing Powder in Toundra - This had the best texture...sooo silky, but turned sooo orange on me.

Girlzmommie,
I am pretty pale and bronzers always look muddy and/or orange on me, but the one I have found to look the best is Laura Mercier's Golden Bronze. It is a little shimmery, but not horribly so. The key is to apply lightly... but it gives such a nice color and glow to the skin. HTH!

One that has a slightly more pinky than brown-orangey feel is Too Faced Pink Leopard. There's a thread on it here, and even though I look ridiculous in bronzer, the packaging/design alone makes me want to run out and buy it! Plus it seems well-suited to cooler, paler skins like mine - in fact, maybe this is just the bronzer I need to NOT look ridiculous! Anyway. I think I somehow just talked myself into buying it, but I hope this also helps YOU. |

Thanks for the tips! I wound up buying the Nars Laguna one - it's probably more brownish than bronze-y but it seems to be adding a little life to my face! |

Rimmel bronzers are good; not tooshimmery and not orangey at all. I'm fair and I also like Cargo beach blush in Sunset Beach. It has a nice bronzey effect. |
