Help me get rid of remaining acne

Hey there i'm a 24yo male with fair somewhat oily skin. For the last month iv used the basic proactiv 3 step and its worked alright but lately i'm getting whiteheads and some redness and was wondering if maybe proactiv is too intense for my skin.

If so is there another treatment/products that might work (I tried clean and clear and broke out, possibly due to the alcohol)

You may want to check out Paula's Choice. Many have luck with her 2% BHA and 2.5% BP. Personally I like her CLEAR Regular Strength Exfoliant.

I am 39 year old female and have had acne since my early 20's. So for the past 19 years or so I have experimented with countless products trying to control the acne.
What works best for me is ProActiv but not the 3 step system. I don't use the cleanser or the toner. I only use the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide every morning and at night I use their carifying night cream http://www.amazon.com/Proactiv-Solution-JUMBO-Super-Clarifying/dp/B002GOXELA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363195128&sr=8-1&keywords=proactiv+night+clarifying+cream.
These two products have made the most difference in the clarity of my skin and I haven't had any new acne since I've been using them.
The clarifying cream also has retinol and some antioxidants as well which is always good for the skin.

I haven't tried Paula's Choice that the previous poster suggested but I've heard good things about that line and it's worth trying.
