Whohoo, just tried moor mud paste and loved it! Bought 4 oz. from GOW for less than $10 USD.
The smell is just like mud! Consistency is pretty thin, thinner than with most clays but it stayed put without dripping.
I liked the fact that this didn't tighten my skin so terribly as it dried. It itched a little bit, so I rinsed it off after 30 minutes. Skin was slightly red, but that's normal for me after applying a clay mask.
After I rinsed and applied my favorite toner, it feels soft and smooth. Not sure what the long term effects are gonna be, but I can't wait to find out! A few other ladies who have used this also mix it with yogurt to thicken the consistency, I'll probably try this next. |

Is it similar to Jurlique's Moor Purifying Mask? |

Hi flori, I've never tried Jurlique's mask, but I took a look at their ingredient list and pasted them below...
Ingredients: Kaolin, water, calendula extract, chamomile, daisy, rose, quince, horsetail, licorice, violet, black elder, marshmallow, green tea, sesame oil, moor extract
Wow, $50 USD for this mask and considering that moor extract is at the very bottom of the list, it's hard to tell what benefit you get from it.
This is one of my primary gripes about this line. The silk powder that everyone raves about doesn't contain any silk powder, and moor extract is the very LAST ingredient in their Moor Purifying mask all in the name of marketing, I presume...
I'll stick to my moor mud from GOW, at least I know I'm getting the full treatment.... |

I tried this again - with a mixture of yogurt and a little bit of French Green Clay - wonderful! Now if I can just come up with a formula to somehow use this as a spot treatment during my monthly cycle.... |
