CLAIM:
The Clear Complexion series utilizes Botanical Blast technology, a pure, highly-effective problem skin treatment made using a select blend of the finest botanicals available to improve skin clarity, tone, and texture. This preservative-free, botanically-rich formula offers a gentle and effective means to ensure your skin stays clear and healthy-looking.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I purchased the cleanser ($22 4.1oz), toner ($19/4.1oz) and treatment serum ($35 1oz) early November. I started out using the cleanser for 1 week to make sure it didn't break me out. After 1 week, I added the toner in conjunction w/ cleanser, and after another week, I finally added the serum.
Clear Complexion Cleanser
is a deep cleansing gel that is super gentle and effective. It hasn't dried me out all winter. I use a very small amount and the 4oz bottle is still almost full after 3 months. This cleanser claims to unblock pores and bring out your skin's natural defenses against skin irritations and reactions, for clean skin, free and clear of shine. It does all that and more. You will see more radiant skin after couple uses. It doesn't have any smell and it foams up
nicely.
Water, Diglycerin, Maltitol, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Methyl Gluceth-10, Potassium Cocoyl Glutamate, Tea-cocoyl Alaninate, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Lauroyl Glutamate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium, Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil.
Toner
This is a very nice soothing toner that helps your skin retain moisture yet keep the oil away. You will notice that your skin looks even better, more radiant, if you use this in conjunction w/ the cleanser. I just use 2-3 sprays and spread/tap it into my skin.
Water, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Serine, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Potassium Phosphate, Dipotassium Phosphate, Dextrin, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract.
Serum Treatment
I hardly use this serum because I haven't broken out at all. I used this sparingly for 1 week when my skin had a few clogged bumps and it seemed to clear it up nicely. It reduced the bumps w/o leaving the redness behind like BHA/BP do. It was lovely. It moisturized my skin and left it very soft. Since I only used it for a week I cannot vouch for its long term results. I still have almost 100% of this serum left. I just haven't had the need for it at all now.
Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Peg-75, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sasa Kurilensis Water, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Carbomer, Peg-80 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylic/Acrylate Copolymer (E), Silica, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Foeniculum Vulgare (Fennel) Oil.
Overall, this Boscia Clear Complexion line is effective for those who have mild to moderate acnes or those who have a few TTOTM and maybe a few cystics. I used to have at least a few clogged pores, a pimple and/or cystic here and there, but I haven't gotten a single pimple since Thanksgiving nor any congestion/bumps. I highly recommend this line. I honestly think it is very effective and GENTLE. I've also started the ACV and drinking Republic of Tea Skin Tea the week after I started Boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser (early November) and Nordics Naturals Ultimate Omega and Kinerase Clear Light Moisturizer around Christmas. Once a week I also use Skinceuticals .5% Retinol and Mama Lotion for further exfoliation and to get rid of my old post inflamatory hyperpigmentation marks from previous pimples. This entire routine leaves my skin absolutely clear, soft, and glowing for the past 3 months. All my PIH are virtually gone now and that makes me really love my skin even more. I'm still shocked and I pray I don't jinx it by posting it here (knock on wood). For your information, I don't wear makeup 360 days/year (I don't even think I wear 5 days out of the year but whatever). I seldom wear sunscreen in the winter, but around where I live the UV index is 1 about 99% of the time. I do wear wide-brimmed hat that covers my entire face when I go out and sometimes I wear sunscreen just not everyday. Of course, I'll be wearing sunscreen when the UV index gets higher and wide-brimmed hat always... |
