I love lip products. I am always trying different ones. I love glosses, pencils, tints, etc...
I was in the store the other day and saw this display for the Maybelline Superstay Gloss. I got Sugared Raisin.
You put the tinted end on and let it dry for 2 minutes, then you add the gloss on top.
Pros:
The sugared raisin is a beautiful color. It is not as dark as it sounds. It has little bronze shimmers in it that look lovely when you put it on.
The color/sheen is not matte. I like that. Most tints are very matte looking. You can wear this without the gloss and it looks great.
It is long lasting. I have not had it last 12 hours but it does last a very long time (several hours anyway).
Cons:
The gloss is thick and comes out very thick. When you get too much on, it starts gunking up and rolling off. Blech. However, I make sure I just put the tiniest bit on and it does just fine.
Again, many times I just wear it with the lip tint and not the gloss.
It has not dried my lips out as other lip tints have.
I paid $7 for it and feel that it has performed far better than high end and high dollar products I have tried.
So if you are not hung up on brand names, give it a shot. |
