| My Spaniel (age 2) starting limping last week and after a visit to the vet it was discovered she has damaged her cruciate ligament and needs to have an operation.. Has anyone else had this problem with their dog and was an operation the only option? Thanks |

I feel for you and your dog. Although my Maggie did not have a cruciate ligament problem she did need surgery. Maggie had a growth plate disorder in her elbow. At the age of 7 months my wee one had surgery.
It must be devastating for you to hear such news. I suggest you get a few opinions before you go ahead with surgery. We are very quick to do what we think is best for our pets. If surgery is absolutely necessary please make sure the surgeon is confident and seasoned in ligament surgery. |

| Sorry to hear about your dog. Winnie gave some good advice there. Sorry that I don't have the knowledge to help. I do hope he makes a full recovery, though. |

| All is well now - turns out she only had a sprain and is now fighting fit and running around mad again! Thank goodness............. |

| My Annie had the same surgery 7 weeks ago and still is limping but uses the right back leg more each day. Glad it was just a sprain. Thye are like kids |
