Just had to rant - my skin has gone nuts. It's even reacting to my Dr Hauschka Moisturizing Day Cream that I've been using for years. Right now, my skin's only tolerating emu oil, but the problem is emu doesn't work for me under makeup in the day. Over the past couple of months I've tried a ton of moisturizers from organic to japanese brands and my skin reacted to all of them. Now I'm wondering whether my increased oiliness and reactiveness is due to the fish oil supplements that I've been taking for a few months, but I though that side effect was supposed to go away? Sigh

A few months ago I started taking an Omega 3/6 supplement but had to stop as I was starting to break out and that was the only thing I had changed. About 2 weeks after stopping the supplement, the breakouts stopped. It may have been coincidence and I will probably try taking them again in another month or so and see if the same thing happens. Fish oil and omega 3 are the same thing but sometimes come from different sources.

I didn't know fish oil made your skin breakout. Maybe you could try flaxseed instead. Or, it could be the warmer weather. I know I'm definitely more oily.

I would suggest Dove Sensitive Essentials day lotion for you-- it's fragrance free and doesn't cause breakouts. DHC Emollient balm migth work for you too.

Heard lately that we should change our skin cream as our skin gets used to the same one. Its not the brand we should change but use say in my case combo/normal it was suggested to try dry and or oily and it worked. Went back to old cream in the winter. I had started to get a few spots due to hormones and old age!! but still used dry skin cream

the drastic change in weather and perhaps not the best diet for a week recently broke me out in little bumps and congested pores all over my chin. strange, never happened before. i bought decleor's prolagene gel (good excuse to try this line i've always wanted to try) and was surprised that it cleared everything up in just a few days. i'm excited about it, and faithtruth, since it is a gel, you could most likely mix it with emu oil and maybe a little HA as a day cream... i'm working it into my very established regimen myself. seems to be a product that works to various ends...

just a thought.

the reviews on prolagene gel are amazing!
