I've been having a nightmare with my skin! I went through a period of using Dr Hauschka and my skin was wonderful! Then about 3 or 4 months ago, my acne came back and it's all gone down hill from there. I've tried most things I can think of in the Dr H but nothing seems to be working, and the whole Dr H process is extremely time consuming too!
The main predicament is that although I've got blemishes, I don't have oily skin. It's normal to dry so anything too harsh either makes it break out even more or dry out. Plus I'm a real believer in natural skincare or as good as.
So, Does anyone have any recommendations? I would be very greatful for some advice.
Thanks : o ) |

It seemed that Obagi's new line, CLENZIderm MD, is good too. |

I've just purchased some of the Naturderm so hopefully....fingers crossed, it will do the trick. It's so depressing when you've been enjoying nice skin and then it goes back to being like a mine field. Just saps out all your confidence. |

What ever you do, if you already have dry skin, DO NOT use Obaji Cleniziderm. I have oily skin with acne and used this recently. Went to have a facial shortly after and my skin was quite dry already. My dermatologist informed me this was way too drying of a product for me to be using. |

One suggestion for you to try for acne and dry skin...I have used "Oligopur" which is a line specifically for acne by "Phytomer". I have used it when oral medications such as Accutane have made my skin dry, but I was still battling acne. For me it was helpful with the acne and not drying. Unfortunately for me, once I discontinued Accutane my skin became very oily again and I have had to search for other oily/acne skincare lines. Dermstore has a no question, no hassle return policy if you return within 21 days. 21 days may give enough time to see if it will help with your acne. You definitely should be able to tell within a few days if it will be too drying for your skin. The line has a cleanser, toner, purifying acnicontrol fluid, spot blemish treatment, and moisturizer. It appears EDS offers this line also. Good luck! |
