I've been wanting to go to John Masters Organic Salon in New York for so long now. Hoping that I would get a reason to go to NY again, a business trip or something that would come up. So far in all this time that has not happened. All the business stuff has been local or in San Francisco. I'm not going to fly there just to go to a salon. I live in Los Angeles, but I don't know of any natural organic salons in LA that are like John Masters. I am very sensitive to hair dyes and bleaches and all those chemicals. The last time I had gotten my hair highlighted was years and years ago at the Aveda Salon in LA and I ended up feeling sick afterwards from the exposure to whatever chemicals are in it, so I decided to quit all together and go totally natural.
Yet, now I've been craving to get highlights again as my hair color is so flat and boring and could really use a boast. I saw that John Master's salon offers these clay based natural highlights. Is there ANYTHING like that on the west coast - hopefully in Los Angeles? |

I think a stylist at Rumours salon in Vancouver, Canada uses clay based colouring. The only other alternative is LUSH Henna bars. Its messy but I love how it makes my hair thick. |
