I bought 12 packs of birth control and took them back to back so I won't have a period but I ran out of them 2 months ago. My hormonal pimples returned (usually 1 or 2) but the blue light seems to help make them go away alot quicker. I think it's a combo of the blue light and the heat it produces. I plug it in while i'm typing away on the computer and hold the light there until I get bored so I dont' have a scientific technique of using this. I didn't get any instructions for it so I just held the unit to the zit until it's warm and then a few more mins.

I decided to finally post this because I haven't been using any other product for my condition out of sheer laziness so this must be what's keeping my zits at bay.

Did you purchase a separate blue light unit? The baby quasar I have does not have a blue light feature. That's great that it's helping.

I felt the red light could have similar impact on pimples - I have been using lightstim for a couple months and it reduced my hormonal breakout. But I haven't tried any blue light threapy so I cannot tell if the blue light is any more efficient.

Is the blue light the one that is over $1000? Do you feel it was worth it? Are you also using red light?

I had also looked into the blue light system as well, but it is WAYY too expensive, and doesn't have the other benefits of anti-aging effects. I emailed the guys at AdTh and they said the blue light just gives a stronger and more effective way of reducing acne problems, but the regular BQ would not lack any of this feature but would take longer to see effects.

I purchased BQ for several reasons - acne was one of them. After 4 months of using BQ trying different acne protocols (under James' guidance), BQ did not do a thing for my acne. If anything, it made them worse. I know BQ worked well for some members (for acne problem), but for me - nada.
I know blue light is supposed to be great for acne (many dermatologists us it), but I just could not dish out $1000 Shock.
Glad to hear it's working for people, though.
