Can anyone recommend a 2%(or higher) BHA product that doesn't contain alcohol, besides Paula's Choice? I love PC, but would like to find an alternative, preferably something available on EDS, because the shipping and duty end up costing more than my order from PC. I like PSF products and I noticed that they have 2% and 5% BHA, but alcohol is high on the ingredient list. Hope to hear some recommendations.
Thanks so much! |

Hi Tiffy,
alcohol isn't always a bad thing If you're looking for a BHA without alcohol, however, you may need to either order pure black willowbark extract from gardenofwisdom or a BHA souffle from a home-based company that contains only Oils: grapeseed or soy, rice bran oil, Actives: salicylic acid | Product pH: 3
Feel free to PM me for more details, since we're not supposed to discuss home-based business on this forum. |

Hello Tiffy
I am using Skinbiology's exfol serum at the moment (been only using it for 2 days) and here are the ingredients:
Exfol Serum –
Purified water, aloe vera gel, salicylic acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, allantoin, polysorbate-20.
I dont know the last 3 ingredients but Im sure they're not alcohol
I have to say though, I find this really mild compared to the JM bioclear that I was using and may switch to PSF's BHA to try. Usually, when I have extracted a pimple and apply the JM bioclear, it stings slightly but with the Exfol serum- nothing at all. But its still early days as to whether its effective. |

Cetyl alcohol is an emollient and is moisturizing for the skin and not the drying type you are thinking about, like SD alcohol. Take a look at the BHA gel which has no parabens in it. HTHs! |
