Has anyone used a micro dermabrasion cloth? If so, what is your experience (pros or cons).
I would like to try one but I would like the recommendations of reputable brands or sellers. |

Never heard of these cloths but muslim cloths are great for cleaning or exfoliating. Eve Lom and Liz Earles are great especially used with the hot polish cream |

I've used one, 1 or 2x a day after cleansing, since June. I cleanse my skin, rinse, then use the wet dermabrasion cloth in small circles. It's made a huge difference in the # of blackheads, whiteheads, milia. You can get them on ebay and lots of places; I got mine at www.ncnproskincare.com. |

I also bought one from NCN. I like to use it when I have "peelies" from my Retin A. It cleans me right up! I'm not sure if there have been other specific changes in my skin from using it...( I've used it about 10 times,) It's hard to know what is making the most difference in my skin since I used so many products. |

My very first cloth was from NCN. Microfiber is a lovely way to clean your face. NCN's cloth is of excellent quality. I have my eye on another brand: Pure Skin Formulation. The price is wonderful and knowing PSF so is the quality. You can't go wrong with either company.

I didn't like how they felt on my face, and use them for cleaning my tub and sink instead. They are really great and dry super fast!
I prefer to use a rotating brush or a manual exfol instead.
I think its preference. The texture makes me really nervous when I use them, so I stopped. |

Is there a difference between a Microfiber cloth and a Microdermabrasion cloth? |

I like NCN's too. I dont use it much - just when I have the dreaded peelies from retin a. Gets rid of the peeling skin easy ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

If you take care of microfiber it should last a very long time. You can't bleach or use fabric softener on them. My cloth from NCN was ruined when DH used it with Comet on the bathroom sink. ![Mad](images/smiles/mad.gif) |

I've been checking them out too, and the blurb for the PSF one states up to 600 uses. That sounds extremely economical to me. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi all,
My experience with micro dermabrasion cloths was not a success, however I do have troublesome skin.
If it was otherwise fine, and I was looking for something to give me a good scrub / remove dead skin cells, I'm sure it would work great.
But I have to agree with brightmind, it's good for cleaning the bath and basin... works well for shiny taps too! ;D |

You have to be careful not to scrub too hard with the cloth or your skin might start to peel off. Even though the cloth feels soft, it has quite powerful exfoliation properties, so go gently with it. |

Exfolia Microexfoliation Cloth is amazing. It is so soft and if you did not understand how it is made you would not think it could exfoliate anything! It's about 10.00
"HOW DOES IT WORK? Fibers 50 to 100 times thinner than human hair, formed in a parallel direction to skin surface, penetrate under dead skin cells to remove them delicately with unprecedented precision. The dense formation of the fibers provide a powerful wicking action that collects 99% of impurities from skin surface. Pores are deep cleaned. Results are superior to $150.00 microdermabrasion sessions in many ways without the risks." This from the insert in the product package.
It really works without the rough abrasion of so many other microdermabrasion products. It's amazing. They recommend you use it only 2 times per week. Overexfoliating can make the skin thin...it's not good to overexfoliate and everyday is too much.
Thanks,
Crackerjack |
