30 Asian Dry skin...
I haven't even have obvious eye line. I started to use eye cream when I saw some very fine at age 26 and it has been pretty good so far. My regular regime always add all excess lotions on my hand to the neck area. But, these neck lines are popping out pretty fast, now I am putting Lancome collaser serum and clarins neck cream plus spf60 in the morning.
Any idea how to get rid of those lines? I am thinking of renova or retin-a-micro to get rid of them. I am not sure how to get them yet but for sure, I so want to try any facial cream to get rid of those lines. Or maybe rose hip oil...
Any thought? Thanks in advance for any suggestion. |

I don't think one can completely get rid of all the neck lines because most neck lines came as the result of movement. Retin-A might help by building more collagen but don't expect miracle. Many on the forum are raving about using Perfect Complexion's HA-Soy Lift on their neck. |

Some friends told me Shiseido Revital line has a great neck cream, but I agree that it's impossible to get rid of the lines, just protect from getting worse. |

I do feel excess fat around my neck area. Maybe I did too much neck stretching during yoga. Is neck cream enough to prevent it from happening? |

Sorry fishzebby,
I don't think its possible to prevent neck lines from forming. As I said earlier,m they came from motion movements. Unless you are never going to move your neck again....... |

I think you can use Vit C serum both for face and neck. If it works for face, it will help neck. |

There is a new product line from DOVE called PRO AGE and they have a serum specifically targeting the chest and neck area. It is fairly inexpensive ($25.00 Canadian), so would be worth a try. I have seen several articles in magazines recommending it. |

The Edelweiss serum by Ice Elements does wonders with neck lines. A couple of the ingredients that it contains are HA, antarcticine and Edelweiss... Many have had great results with the serum, including myself. It did take me longer than most to see the results that others were raving over, but they did come.
Since you have really dry skin I also wonder if their Anti-Aging serum would be helpful... This serum has 10% of the antarcticine, and I have to tell you that it does wonders for keeping my dry skin hydrated.
If you are in the US, they are running a couple of specials over on http://hsn.com that may be worth taking a look at if you are considering purchasing these items... otherwise check out http://iceelements.com
Good luck!

Hi Jakee!
Antarcticine is a glyco-protein that is taken from glaciers that is incredibly hydrating. The following is a blurb that I took from the Ice Elements site:
Quote: |
Antarcticine™
A 100% natural glyco-protein discovered deep in the frozen Antarctic glaciers has inspired us to create skincare products of exceptional quality and purity. Antarcticine™ protects the layers of skin by locking in moisture and increasing hydration naturally. This protein stimulates collagen and significantly decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Protects skin from the extreme elements promoting healthier, firmer, younger looking skin. |
If you have any specific questions about the product, you may want to ask Shelly (the president of the company) directly on the Ice Elements message board.
I can probably help you with some questions, but she is the expert.
Take care.

They say you get one for every ten years, like tree rings, I have managed to only have the ONE that I got in my twenties, I've used creams on my neck since early twenties, not sure if the brands as big an issue as just using one! So many woman wake up in early 40's and go omg and start putting creams on neck, if you start early enough it'll help alot! It needs care just as your face does, and while were on this, so does your chest! |

Mel, that's not true about the tree rings. Formation of rings is a very individual thing-primarily caused by movement and holding your head down a lot, as Wild Cat mentioned. I know women over sixty with only one and I'm staring down the throat of my 6th decade and still have the same 2 I had at 30. I wish I didn't have them but, all in all, they're the least of my skin care worries--my leatherette decollete bothers me a lot more.

I was wondering what recommendations you've heard when it comes to applying cream on the neck. Some say to massage upwards and some say downwards. |

Unless someone can provide scientific reasons, I really don't think it matters. I go in both directions and sometimes round in circles. It just depends on the product I am using and how easy it is to rub in. |

Revive has a product called neck renewal cream. It has EGF in it, epidermal growth factor i it that helps to increase skin turnover, there are also firming agents in it.I was able to get it on Ebay too. It has helped my neck a lot,I am 53. I was told not to put regular lotions on the neck because the weight of them with gravity pulls the skin down and makes more wrinkles, this is a specially formulated cream JUST for the neck area ,I love it and 1 jar will last me at least 6 months....... |

The Skin Biology site addresses neck lines. Copper peptides do help. It is suggested that you use Copper Peptides once a day and exfoliate at opposite time of day. It is always best to start with CP Serum and gradually work up strengths.
I use CP's every day and do notice an overall improvement in my skin (especially the neck and declotee). |
