I was using dr. varon's c serum from walmart, which i used to like but unfortunately now i dont get this at wallmart not sure if they discontinue or what. I was shopping at longdrugs i noticed 2 C serum Jason and one other I decided to go with Jason's C serum. Its been 3 weeks that I am using it and here is its review!!
I got this product JASON Ester-C Hyper-C Serum from the California longdrugs at $34.99 for 1 0z.
Here are the ingredients:-
Aqua Purified Water , Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate , Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride , Isostearyl Isostearate , Cyclomethicone , Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil Sweet Almond , Polysorbate 60 , Silica Silylate , Ascorbic Acid , Rosa Canina Hip Oil Dog Rose , Ethyl Macadamiate , Fragrance Oil Blend , Ester-C Calcium Ascorbate , Ester-C Sorbitol , Glycerine , Calcium Ascorbate , Tocopheryl Acetate Vit. E , Sodium Hyaluronate , Thioctic Acid Alpha Lipoic Acid , Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract Green Tea , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Gel Aloe Vera Certified Organic , Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil Kukui Nut , Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil Grape , Polysorbate 20 , Benzyl Alcohol , Annatto
It says its 10% concentrated vitamin c serum and its mentioned. There is not clear instruction on how to use it.
It is not water like consistency as Varon C serum used to have it is more oily kind of which i can not use at daytime can only use it in night cos its more of oily but at times my skin was very dry so i dont mind it.
It has nice orange fragrance and color is pale.
I apply it daily at pm.. when i first applied it after 10 minutes i fel warm sensation and felt happy that its working ..i uese to have same sensation on applying varon c serum but its been almost more than 2 weeks i couldnt find any difference in my tone whereas using varon c serum i cud see the difference on first day.
I read great review of this over net(i googled it). Overall i am not happy with this product. And will not advice you to buy it.
As i have so much left i m using it libreally on my face neck back and hand. Then i'll try some other serum. |

Ritas, I bought this from Vitacost, and I didn't like it either. It was so thick and greasy. I could not use it in the AM. I used it at night, but I didn't like the greasiness still. I sent it back to Vitacost already. It's not worth it. I didn't notice any brightening result. |

Thanks for your review. I love to use vitamin c serum but this I must avoid. |

ouch, that's an expensive lesson ritas and way overpriced for that brand.
For the value and texture, I really like Cellular SkinRX firming serum. 12% Vit C, very smooth and watery texture and extremely stable. At $38 USD for 1 oz, it lasts me nearly 3 months. I haven't noticed any brightening [been using Vit C for 6 months now] , but I do use it as a preventative against free radicals and UVA damage. |
