I use Pureology and it works great. It doessn't "strip" the color but it breaks my face out. Any suggestions???? |

I would suggest to stop using the shampoo if it's making your face break out and take it back to the salon you bought it from. All professional salon products are guaranteed. I've done this a few times when I've purchased a product and it irritated my scalp. I've never had a problem swapping the product. |

I use Matrix Biolage for coloured hair, so far I am happy with the result. It's not drying my hair. |

The Yes to Carrots line is amazing, I can't recommend their shampoo and conditioner more. They are available at Walgreens. Fabulous smell and so moisturizing and doesn't strip my color. LOVE. |

Wella Color Protect. I would use it even if I didn't have colored hair. it's very gentle. Even my fiance uses it. |

I like Enjoy shampoo and conditioner. It works just as good as Pureology yet, it isn't as expensive. |

I get it from the beauty supply. I use their shampoo, conditioner (hair treatment), straightner, curl enhancer, and hairspray. I think it's a great line and it's less expensive than pureology. |

I do not color my hair but I do get all over highlights every 3 months or so. I have always used Redken and love the results. I did try a few organic brands recently and they did a really horrible number on my hair (no shine, dry, frizzes). I returned to Redken All Soft and thankfully my hair has been restored to it's former glory...so to speak.
I also use Redken PPT mixed with Redken Climatress for a deep conditioning treatment once every couple of months. For a bi-weekly deep conditioner I really like Ojon restorative treatment, but it is rather pricey. |

Does Redkin have one for highlighted hair like Pureology? Thanks! |

Yes. The hair care line for color treated hair is called 'Color Extend'. Here is the website:www.redken.com
Personally, I like the Redken 'All Soft' Line best, but I prefer a product that targets dry hair. |

I personally find the Redken Color Extend gives my hair no volume as it's not a volumizing shampoo/conditioner. The Color Extend line also has a spray on color protector called Total Recharge. Spray it in after the shampooing leave it on for a couple of minutes then rinse out.
You'll find that Redken has the Color Extend and other lines as a gift pack for Christmas. Prices aren't bad anywhere from 19.99 - 24.99 depending on the salon.
On another note - I really like the Amplify Color line. The shampoo and conditioner gives my hair tons of volume, and it smells great too. It smells like the ocean. |

Thank you! I also get flat hair if it's too conditioning. Where can I get Amplify Line? I am a blond and have tons of fine hair. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Thanks, I will give All Soft a try. |

Your Welcome,
I have fine flat hair too and I hate it.
Suggestion - Don't condition your whole head of hair just condition the ends.
You can get the Amplify line at most salons, and they have gift packs for Christmas too. My husband doesn't color his hair and he loves this shampoo. He says it makes his hair nice and puffy ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

Yes it does. I have never had my hair stripped of it's color and I've been using this shampoo/conditioner for over 5 yrs. I also don't wash it every day. I did a search on a lot of other shampoos and they all have SLS in it. I could not find one salon shampoo without SLS in it. |

There are some available organic shampoos without SLS. Jason is one company that offers one with biotin and one with sea kelp.
Haven't tried these, but ordered them through vitacost and they should arrive shortly. |

Another line of shampoos without SLS are the ones from Deva (DevaCare and DevaCurl). They have ones called No-Poo and Low-Poo that are not supposed to fade color. They do not suds up though without the SLS and therefore take a little getting used to but do a good job cleansing the hair. These are hard to find though, not in many salons but are available online. |

I agree, this is what I use too. I use the kind that comes in the pink bottle. |

I use Ion Color Defense shampoo and conditioner. I get them at Sally Beauty Supply, and they keep my hair looking healthy and shiny. They don't affect my facial skin at all, but then I'm not prone to break-outs. |

Pureology is the first shampoo that doesn't make my blond "brassy". Do you think it's because it doesn't have SLS? |
