I have sensitive skin on my legs. They seem to always have irritated red bumps after i shave even if I use a sharp razor or the best moisterizer. I always put lotion on afterwards but it makes it worse. And I don't seem to be able to shave it all off I'm still pricily and I can see the dark hairs in the pores of my legs. I am a pale skinned person but i know alot of pale people that have nice skin on there legs.

I normally use E45 cream on my legs when they go sensitive or I start to get eczema, the dry flaky itchy feeling tends to go then...

Is it possible to have a allergic reaction to razors?

I'm not sure if it's possible to have a reaction to a razor Think I guess you could be having a reaction to the shaving cream or that strip thing on the razor that is supposed to moisturise your skin. Perhaps it's more likely though that the friction of shaving just irritates your skin. I would suggest Aloe Vera gel as one possibility to calm the skin afterwards. Thoughtcrime also wrote really good things about the Mario Badescu Healing Cream although I'm not sure how much that is and if it's reasonably priced enough to use it on your legs.

Have you tried shaving creams that are formulated specifically for sensitive skin?

..still looking for the ultimate answer, I heard of this TEND SKIN product which supposedly deals with that, when I try it I`ll let u know. For the moment tea tree and aloe vera work well.

I have had the same problem. I have either found a great product that works for me, or it is the type of product formulation. Maybe it will work for you. I have started using MK Satin Hands Bath and Body Cleanser for a little over two months now... and I have not had any problems! I can't even tell you how happy I am because it is summer and I was a little embarrassed to wear my shorts with my red polka-dot legs!

What I have come up with is that it is either a really good product for shaving without leaving irritation, or it is maybe the fact that it is a gel rather than a soap, foam, etc. When I put it on, I don't rub it in so that it turns to soap, rather I kind of put it on like a glaze or something. Then, when I shave, I don't feel any stubble and I don't get the red irritation bumps!

I used to get those red bumps in the bikini area and under my arms. I got the cheaper version of Tend Skin. It's called No Bumps RX. You can get it at Sally's Beauty Supply and I have seen it a dermadoctor.com.Also, make sure you exfoliate before you shave. You can get a body scrub or I use those exfoliating gloves. hth
