What do I do now? I did the NCN pumpkin peel. It left some dry spots and blisters around my nose and on my chin. It itches. I have only been washing with green tea soap and then applying Silkia Camilia oil. Do I just wait it out? I thought that it was a really mild peel? |

I've never tried any pumpkin peels myself, but have been reading about it. I believe NCN Pumpkin Peel is the strongest peel out of the 3 popular peels on EDS (Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel and PSF Pumpkin Peel). |

NCN Pumpkin Peel certainly is relatively strong!! Use it carefully and not at all when your skin is very sensitive!
I used it two times, starting with two minutes, then five. No problem. But the fourth time (yesterday) I first cleaned my face with a micofiber cloth, and that was to much because the peeling probably burned my sensitive "new" skin after I had partly removed the old skin with the cloth. It itched like hell when I applied the peeling after the cloth cleansing, that should have been a warning for me, I should have washed my face immediately! I know that now for next time. |

Nanci recommends the regular copper peptide serum after the peel to heal the skin, but with blisters, I am not sure if this would be ok or not. You could email NCN and see what she recommends. |

I recommend the cream like cetaphil. it can sooth your skin very well. |

I have the copper peptide, but thought I should probably let my skin rest. It feels better today but looks blotchy. I used my SP last night.
Thanks for all the replies. I have used the JB green apple and it did nothing really. Not even stinging. I thought I had pretty tough skin. |

The NCN is a 30% pumpkin peel so it is definately stronger than the PSF pumpkin peel and the Juice beauty green apple peel.
I am using NCN's right now and have followed the instructions very carefully, as its the strongest peel I have used and I didnt want it to burn my skin. I am pretty sure that if you read the instructions leaflet that Nanci includes in the order, you shouldnt use retinoids or AHA and BHA's on your skin 24hrs before and after the peel.
I think you should try soaking a flannel with green tea and apply it to your face and do this for several times, as I find that green tea soothes and takes the redness and itchiness away. And as rileygirls suggested, email Nanci to see what she recommends, she has fantastic CS!
Hope your skin gets better soon! |

gailbaby I suggest you call or email NCN. She is a medical esthetician (I believe) and sure she will have some good advice. In saying that, I think it is so important for us to follow direction. I sometimes don't listen and get myself in trouble.
I think the longest you are to leave this peel on is 5 minutes. However, you need to work yourself up to 5 minutes. Also, as someone else mentioned, don't exfoliate a few days prior to the peel. This peel is strong. Be sure not to use it during summer months when you are exposed to the sun. The only way I would use it during the summer is with added protection of a 50 block.
If the blisters are not too bad I think an antibiotic cream would be very helpful. You mentioned you face is itchy. Try real hard not to rub your face.
Good luck and let us know how you are in a few day. |

Thanks everyone for your concern. Really, I am just plain embarrassed. And yes Winnie, I am trying really hard not to rub or anything. It is VERY itchy! If it is the same tomorrow, I will contact Nanci. |

Actually you are supposed to gradually work up to a max of 10 minutes with the NCN Pumpkin Peel. I followed the instructions carefully, adding a minute until I hit the 10 min mark. Absolutely no problem and i love this product!
I really want to try it for longer than 10 mins. Does anyone do that? Sounds like it was too much too soon for you Gailbaby...wishing you fast healing! |

Even though I have only been using NCN pp for a 2 weeks (3times), I have used other peels before and so I thought my skin will be ok for 10mins+.
The first time I used it, I waited for 3 minutes and experienced slight stinging but bearable. The second time, I left it on for about 8 minutes. And the third time, I left it on for about 15 minutes. I am experience some breakouts at the moment and although the pp stings the broken skin (I picked at my blemishes!), the rest of my face has no stinging sensation. Is my skin really that tough |

My skin is pretty much back to normal now. It feels a bit dry in the spots that were over treated. I am still sticking with only the ph balancer from NCN and the Camellia oil. |

I used Nanci's pumpkin peel 4-5 times now and usually leave it on my face for 50-60 minutes (of course this is not Nanci wants us to do!!!! so be careful!!) and had no problems so far. It seems that we have very different tolerance levels regarding to peels. |

All I can say to that is YIKES!! I can't imagine what that would do. I've learned my lesson to follow instructions very carefully. |

Edithsz, have you noticed a diminishing of wrinkles (if you have any!) by leaving this on so long? |
