| its been on my mind for a little while. i think mixing and matching designer brands for clothing is fine, but what abt things with logos/prints, and accessories? i carry a louis vuitton or gucci bag, but i have a prada wallet, and i wonder if it'd be tacky/rich bitch for me to have those as my standard day-to-day and also something like a pair of dior sunglasses or chanel bangles or something... for accessories, is it better to coordinate (ie sunglasses / wallet / bag all the same designer)? |

Although I must admit that I'm not personally one for obviously logo'd designer stuff, I'd say that if the items look good together, it really doesn't matter whether you mix and match designers.
I'm not really keen on being plastered in labels, though. |

| I think it is fine to have a handbag and wallet by different designers. I try to carry/wear only one obviously designer accessory at a time. I think if you are wearing too many you look like you are only wearing things because of their label. |

Like majorb, I, too, am not one for designers. In fact, I have never bought a designer logo-d thing. I think they are all categorically tacky. JMO.
But you should be aware there ARE those of us out there. LOL
Of ccourse, those who notice designers, notice designers. We want to impress those we want to impress... |

I have to confess I’m a sucker for designer clothes and accessories, but I also don’t like large or obvious logos.
Just my opinion, but if you’re going to wear prominently logo-ed items, it’s best to stick to just one, as a lot of logos can look too “busy” - just my personal taste, I prefer a simple look ... does that make sense? 
As for the wallet/handbag thing, I know a woman (with perhaps more money than sense) who buys a matching LV wallet for every LV handbag she has, and she has a lot, and actually transfers all her cards, cash, etc, into the appropriate wallet to match the handbag she is carrying that day or night. Sorry, but that sounds like way too much work for me.
I once bought a boyfriend what I thought was a very nice Paul Smith T-shirt as a present and you know what he said? Something along the lines of “It’s not worth spending the money for Paul Smith if there’s no Paul Smith logo” Grrrr... he soon became yet another ex-boyfriend. |

He drives me mad about having to buy clothes with obvious labels. Thankfully, I'm slowly weaning him off this habit and am trying to convince him that you should buy something because you love it and it looks good, rather than the fact that it has some designers initials or logo plastered all over it. |

I just found out about a kind of awesome-sounding company, that was hiring for a copywriter. And my mental process went like this:
1) Write awesome cover letter, apply to job.
2) Tell EDS gals about this awesome company!
It's called Bag Borrow Steal, and it's a business based on a Netflix-like model where women can pay to borrow designer handbags. I'll let y'all explore the site for details, but I thought some designer junkies might be into it, since it's way cheaper than paying for a new bag every time there's a new trend wave.
