I ahave bleached my hair out too much. it was supposed to be highlights, but i put too much and now it is solid. HAs anyone had any luck doing your own lowlights. any reccomendation? |

Yes I have done the same thing and it is very simple to pick up a color that is your darker color and select strands of hair, put the color on it and fold foil or wraps from the beauty supply store around it. It is amazing how few strands you will need to cover to make a difference.

I have never done lowlights. But I do highlight my hair with blond streaks. I had the same experience as you and totally overdid it and ended up looking like Marilyn Monroe! I actually had to go to the hairdressers and get it fixed.
But what I wanted to say was that I'm now using one of those rubber streaking caps with the holes in it. You pull strands of hair through the holes with a hook - then proceed with the bleach or whatever. It was a bit of a hassle, but the results were worth it because its impossible to get carried away and overdo the blonding. Good luck with fixing your hair. |
