Is this the real stuff? I have their version from Galderma of Renova in .05% and also the .1% Retin-A from Medsmex. I haven't gotten any redness at all from even the .1%. I once had the .025% long ago from a derm and that was too much for my skin. Has anyone else ordered this from them? Are you peeling or flaking from it? It seems OK in the packaging and it's from a known name, but I should have some of the side effects associated with using this...no? |

Yes, I have the .05% from medsmex, and I love it, it is definitely an effective product - def. the real deal. I have the .05 Retacnyl tretinoina crema from Galderma. |

Thanks for replying. Have you had any redness, peeling or flaking from it? I just felt I should at that strength. To me that means it's working, and since I don't I was wondering. |

Well I started using it nightly, without taking any nights off which I had never done - right before thanksgiving, so it's been about 4 weeks. The first week I was really irritated, red, flaky, the second and third weeks, I broke out pretty badly. The fourth week things are finally clearing up, redness going away, flakiness getting much much better. I am really happy now that i stuck with it and did not back off. I had gone to my esthetician a few weeks ago and she told me to back off to every other or third day, but I didn't - I decided to just push through it. I feel that now my skin is adjusting and the only real flaky parts are on the sides of my mouth and on my chin, so I try to avoid those areas when I apply. I also started waiting 30 minutes after cleansing before I apply - I didn't know that when I started. If you are using nightly and not peeling or flaking then maybe you have really resilient skin - I am jealous!!! |

Well, I'm actually using the .1% with no symptoms too. I guess somehow my skin got stronger as I couldn't use the lowest strength before. This is really strange. It just feels like a regular face cream, and I even apply after I wash and dry my skin. I guess maybe I am lucky, but I feel you need the peeling and flaking to get rid of the top layer of skin to see results. I have light to medium skin with blonde hair and green eyes. I don't have that strong, oily, olive skin. I will keep using it and see what happens. Thanks! |

I bought the Renova .05% from Medsmex and also felt that it was just like a regular face cream, extremely hydrating. Then I switched to Avage and I can't stop peeling. My skin did look good with the Renova but I felt that it really wasn't doing anything. |

THat is so bizarre!
Maybe it is the .1% - but I am on my 3rd tube of the .05 and they have all been good for me. |

Avage is quite an expensive product and I see that Medsmex doesn't carry it. |
