Palacia Beauty has decided to hike their price up to $250. I see prices all over the place for these devices, I'll be darned if I'm paying over $200 for one and would prefer to pay less than $100.

Are these prices arbitrary?

I just got my Palacia for $195 (I am thrilled with it BTW, feels exactly like the spa). They said on their site that the price would be going back up on 4/30. I suspect they will lower it again, as most of the people with the Palacia seem to have ordered it at the cheaper price.

They cycle at a slower rate = not as powerful. We all bought the Palacia because it cycles at over 200,000 cycles per second. Depending upon your goals, the $50 ones may be just fine for your needs, I know some of the others are more than happy with theirs. Jellen was the other brand that had the more powerful rate, but that was more expensive than the Palacia, for essentially the same machine.

So the Jellen is supposedly higher frequency? I visited their website and their model is also $250 - why Palacia would raise their price to the same as their competitor when their model is weaker than the Jellen makes no sense to me. Just looking to cash in on the popularity generated by these forums no doubt. I've seen this happen on countless other forums with other products.

If that's the case and I can't find a decent high frequency model at below $200, I'll just spring for the Jellen, I mean why not?

I think Palacia and Jellen are exactly the same. I just got the Palacia because it was on sale. Check out the HF thread, there are pretty decent reviews on there for a variety of models.

Ava, that's a great thread and I've read it until my eyes crossed and I'm still certain I missed 40% of what's there, so I will definitely be in there again. Smile

If they are the same machine, then I will purchase from Jellen for two reasons: they have a 5% discount code, and purely since Palacia opted to get rid of their teaser price. From a business point of view I still say it was a silly move to make their price equal to the competition's.

I would email Palacia. Tell them about the EDS thread and say that you really want to purchase the device at the cheaper price. You never know, maybe they'll cut you a deal - it never hurts to ask.

I just got free shipping and a $45.00 discount from VISS IPL just by emailing and asking for a deal.

I bought a Dermawand on E-Bay and it is quite strong. I think it is as effective as the larger more expensive models.

The Dermawand is about half the strength of the professional models from everything I've read.

Yes, I agree with you bunnyman. I found it was enough for me and all the other devices I use. It is all about using things in moderation.

I would assume so. From what I remember on those DermaWand infomercials....

It is enough for me and if it is used too much, it can be drying.

Just to update, I went ahead and grabbed a wand from Jellen because it was during the weekend and I was impatient Laughing

I still think its a good idea for anyone else seeking an HFM from Palacia to mention this site and see if they can get it at the old price.
