I see so much that I want to try. As a result I have a whole drawer full of things I have bought to try - wonder if they will go off
How about you??
I have a bunch of these in my drawer:
Dr Lewinn-
John Plunkett-
Natio Lift-
Dior-
and a plastic bag FULL of random samples
All waiting for me to finish with my Gatineau first.
.
On top of that I have already planned
to try PSF, Valmont and emu oil after these.
I simply can't use the stuff up as fast as I buy it!
Has anyone tried any of the stockpile list in my drawer? Any comments?

Me too. They should have a 12 step program for people like us. |

LOL just did 5 orders in 2 days! I'm sad, really. I always wanna try new things, hoping to find something "better" than what I'm using, but it seems the more "better" products I try, the worse my skin looks. I have so many products in full sizes that are opened and have been used once or twice. Plus loads of samples I don't know if I'll get around to using them. So now I'm just giving the products I no longer use and samples away to my boyfriends and my friends. |

I have 4 ENORMOUS lidded boxes under our double bed (they take up almost all the room underneath) and they are FULL to overflowing with products I haven't used yet.
I hang my head in shame. |

You don't know how much your confessions have helped me!! I really thought I must be the only one. I suppose its a form of greed really? or desperation to find the MAGIC potion? |

I get bored very easily.......and i have always been an impulsive buyer - the things that i have still waiting to be used
Decleor - alot of stuff
PSF - still loads
Juara - masks
Sundari - cleansers
Bioelements - cleansers
No 7 - that new cream that came out
Aveda - shampoos
Philosophy - the whole works
Elemis - agian a whole regimn
Roc - microdermabrasion
Vit C serums by various makes
etc etc too many to name........and too little time to use..
If i am happy with something - and see a thread raving about a product -i just go out and buy for the sake of buying.......
Now my plan is to wait a clear year and then reorder something..... will it happen - probably no! |

There should be a trade program or something for all the unused and unwanted products! |

I am smacking my hand every time I want to buy something new until I go thru my current lot. The only thing I haven't worked into my routine is a 5 day sample of AlphaDerma CE. Although I'm so pleased with my samples of Green Cream and Mama Lotion I may have found a perfect part of my skin care routine! |

Bugaboo, that's a brilliant idea. All the samples weigh next to nothing so you could easily reduce your stockpile and make way for other products that you actually LOVE!! Sounds like my wardrobe theory!
I used to have quite a buildup of samples in a drawer too, at a rate that was exponential to my usage. They had to go as I don't like keeping things for too long. Samples have a shelf life too. |

Looks like I have uncovered a secret society!! Looks like we all think along the same lines.
But Bugaboo, I think you beat us all - you could actually open a shop with that much stuff!
I wonder if this is age related?
Is it more common in certain age groups - ie impulsive youth, desperate oldies etc??
I am over 40 , how about you?
(btw the swap idea has merit!). |

I can beat that - I went twice to Shoppers Drug this week to pick up some new product, then I won a basket of Roc products from them, placed 3 orders from eBay for skin care products, and it's only Saturday. I'm a total product whore. |

Thank goodness I'm not the only one with this problem. This past summer I gave away two bags full of products that either irritated my skin, or just didn't do anything for me. Now my stash is growing AGAIN!! I always think the next product will be the one I love. Is there hope for us? |

OMG too funny and true - I'm 43 and I love, love, love products more now than when I was 33. Plus there's a lot more to buy/try now then lets say 10 yrs ago. |

In addition to trying to purchase every OTC product possible, not only in Canada where I live but also the US, I have also had 3 Derm's and have posted over 100 times on this forum - I need a life!!! (I also need a new car and I need a vacation!!!) |

Yes, I am a skincare junkie too! And, you guys are absolutely spot-on! Since turning 40 and in the years on the downhill slide from 35 I have never spent as much time, effort and money on skincare! Now that I am 40 I think I am worse - could that possibly happen? I have products in drawers in the bathroom, in bags in the wardrobe, still unopened in the EDS package(s)they came in (languished over and touched lovingly though) under the bed and in the chest of drawers by my bedside!!! |

I am so glad there are so many others like me! I was just telling my kid the other day, I must have enough products to last at least 5 years if they don't go bad by then! |
