Hey all..I'm new here. I've got this red spot on my head. I think it's a blemish. It used to be a pimple and I popped it and it kind of scabbed over and left this red spot that has been there for like two weeks.
To clarify, this red spot feels like normal skin, but is discolored.
Is there anyway to get it back to normal or is it scarred? |

Well it seems to me that the red spot is caused by the trauma for popping the acne. The way you describe it, it seems to have inflamed that's why the red spot. If you pop a cystic acne, it becomes inflamed and then sometimes they turn brown and become acne scars! Some vanishes in time but others stay and even become pitted scars!! |

Try popping a Vitamin E capsule and rubbing it into the spot, or else aloe vera. Do this twice a day consistantly and you should see improvement. |

This may sound funny but putting an ice cube on the zit will help reduce inflamation.Make sure your skin is wet then rub an ice cube over the area for 1 minute. I works the same way that you would use ice for a sprain etc....give it a shot , i use it when the huge zits develop on my forhead and i notice a dramatic improvement(plus it feels nice!)

Huh Matherton, that's interesting. It works for shrinking pores, I never heard of the zit one. |

It looks a little better. Not the results I was expecting. I really increased my vitamin E intake. |
