I'm just wondering what everyone recommends for a manual exfoliation for the face. I am currently using Clinique's 7 Day Scrub Cream (this is the only Clinque product I like), but I would like to know if there is something better out there.
I do like to exfoliate everyday or atleast everyother day, so it needs to be gentle enough to do this, but still get the job done.
Any thoughts???? |

I mix up and use the following once or twice a week. My skin is normal.
-sugar
-corn meal
-citrus (orange, lemon, grapefruit or whatever)
-honey
About a teaspoon of each mixed together is enough for face, neck + chest.
Cleanse, apply mask, leave on 20 to 30 minutes and cleanse again. |

A good exfoliant that is gentle to use every day or every other day is Dermalogica's daily microfoliant.
Hope that helps. |

My favorite daily manual exfoliant is my new Clarisonic System. I have been using it twice a day for a month (delicate brush). My face has never felt so good, clean and glowing. I take it in the shower and also do my neck and declotee. |

I really love Ice Elements 2 minute miracle exfoliation gel. From the first time that I tried it I just fell in love with the way that it made my skin look and feel.
It is different than other scrubs as it doesn't actually scrub... It is a pink gel that liquefies on the skin "ungluing" the dead skin cells and gunk from the surface... then it balls up with a gentle rubbing taking all the gunk with it... The more gunk the more balling up.
I use it from 2 - 4 times a week, depending on how often I need to use it, but some do use it twice per day. The reason I use it less often is that even with my dry skin it will not ball up if I use it more often as there isn't anything there to be removed.
It also works great in reducing any redness... I had a horrible break out when on vacation from sunscreen and thankfully I had this and my souffle on hand as it made a huge difference in just one night!
Take care.

i can recommend a product i recently purchased on e-bay. i was extremely skeptical buying it, but at 45 i am really tired of extremely oily/sensitive skin so i gave it a try. it is a mere piece of cloth that the seller calls DERMA SPA MICRODERMABRASION CLOTH (sold by enchantedwaters on e-bay). it has worked wonders for my skin in under three weeks. it does what it says - microdermabrasion, you just wet the cloth and rub your skin with it. for the first time in years my skin is positively glowing. the oiliness is reduced and there are no new breakouts. the impurities are gone and i truly never expected to get rid of the stubborn tiny (and not so tiny) blackheads. it feels like my skin can breathe again. |

I was using EpidermxII for a few months until I tried PSF pumpkin peel. I use it every 3 days and find it keeps my skin smoother and cleaner than a manual exfoliate ever did. |

I really like PSF Microcrystal Resurfacing Cream. I tried a sample and could not believe how smooth my skin felt. I use in a few times a week and feel like my skin glows right afterwards. You can go on their site and order samples just to make sure the products work. Believe me I try them all! |

I just bought the L'Oreal microdermabraision kit. Although effective I think it's a bit rough. I have tough skin so I will finish it with a light touch.
Decleor makes a wonderful product Natural Micro-Smoothing Cream (Purete Exfoliante). You can use this everyday. It smells great and it works very well. I started using it because a facialist had sent me to it. |
