Has anyone had any experience with Aveda Products. My hairdresser sells them. Some of them seem so yummy. I was particularly looking at their Intense Hydrating Mask. Would love to hear Aveda feedback. Since I found this board it is so helpful to hear from you before the cash is forked out.
Thanks and have a good weekend!

Aveda skincare lines are not for me although I do feel that they are sooooo yummy too! I love the smell, but some specific botanical ingredients in it broke me out!
I like the body cleanser, smell great too!! Shampoo smells great too, but it doesnt do much on my hair
Aveda eyeshadows are my faves!! Love the colors and the great staying power! Wonderful~ ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi Winnie, I was trained fully by Aveda years ago when I was first in skin therapy. I only like 1 product in the line and that is the Intense hydrating mask. It is in my emergency skin care kit for peeling sunburnt skin. Other than that I feel it's a waist of money. I loved there theory and the smell of the products but it wasn't that specific a line and lots of people tend to break out from it. |

Hi !
cant say a lot as I JUST bought their All Sensitive Toner . Normally as soon as I apply toner ,even one without alcohol, my skin starts burning, tingling(perfume allergy?).
This one ,although with herbal extracts, doesnt hurt my skin.
But I think the normal range can be harsh if you are sensitive.
hope this helped |

I used aveda skincare products for awhile. I think that I was really more entranced by the smell more than anything else. They smell just incredible. The problem that I found it that you almost have to have perfect skin to use aveda because they don't have much in the way of corrective skincare. You either had normal or dry skin, anything other than that and you were out of luck. At the time I was using aveda, my skin was mostly normal. During those periods, my skin looked great. But then, my skin would rebel, get oily and break out and it seemed that aveda doesn't really have anything to help prevent or treat this so I quit using it.
Now, their hair products are great. One of my favorite shampoos is their sapmoss and I got my hubby hooked on the rosemary mint...

My hairdresser sells them too. She used them on my hair and I did like it okay, but I like Pureology much better...especially with color treated hair that needs a lot of TLC because of all of the stuff I do to it. |

I've just discovered the Hand Relief handcream, which I love for my dry, chappy hands. Also smells nice! I am dying to try some of the haircare, esp. Sap Moss, Shampure and the Damage Relief leave-in. Yes, I'm an hair products junkie ![Rolling Eyes](images/smiles/rolleyes.gif) |

I switched to Pureology, as well, when I started coloring my hair. The sapmoss seemed to cause the red to fade quite a bit. I will probably go back to it when I stop coloring my hair. Although, I do love Pureology's products. And my hair hardly fades using them. I also use the Kerestase mask and styling products, those are awesome, as well!
