I have dehydrated normal-oily t-zone type of skin. Anyone have a good moisturiser to recommend? I want something very moisturising, but not greasy! I have been considering the dr.hauschka range, but don't really know what to try. Does this range work well with products from other brands?
I'm also in need of a good night cream. If I find something heavier too use during the night maybe I can wear a lighter moisturiser during the day? |

Decleor and Origins both make moisturizers for combination skin. I've never used either, so unfortunately I can't tell you how well they work or which one is better. I know the Origins one has SPF, but I don't know if the Decleor does (and right now I'm too lazy to look). They are supposed to hydrate the skin yet make oily areas matte. I'm sure other skin care lines on this site make moiturizers for combination skin as well, but these two happen to spring to mind.
Good luck, hope this helps! Report back on what works for you. |

I use the Dr Hauschka products in combination with other brands and have no problems at all. The only two moisturisers that I have tried from Dr H though, are the Quince and the Rose Day creams. I think the rose one might be a bit heavy for you, though you might get away with it at night. The quince could be suitable though, I don't find that it makes my t-zone oily.
Another thing to consider if you like Dr H products, is the rhythmic night conditioner instead of night cream in the first place. Just a 28-day cycle of it to try to balance your skin out.

Thanks Mabsy and Panther05! I think i'll try the dr.Hauschka range this time. I'm not really happy with decleors moisturisers...too bad b/c I want to like them.
The reason I asked wether this range work well with other brands is that I often find that productsd from different brands clash and work against each other. its possible thats only me and my skin |

You might want to consider one of the following:
From Dermalogica:
*Active Moist (oil-free, moisturizing)
From Decleor:
*Hydra Floral fresh emulsion (very moisturizing, yet not greasy at all). |

I also rec. Jurlique Face Care Day Lotion,
I just love the wonders it had done for my skin. Now if i can just get rid of my neck lines.
I also second decleor's Hydra Floral Emulsion, I have used the cream and since i have oily skin and it doesn't leave any oil on my skin after use. the emulsion may be too light for you. I have yet to try the emulsion. |

Actually, another one that comes to mind today is the Sothys Hydroptimale Gel. I've used this before and it really plumped up my skin, it felt really well moisturised but the product itself was very light. Loved it but didn't purchase (I had a miniature 20mL size or something like that) because I don't like moisturisers that come in jars (personal preference).
Re: mixing brands. I know that there are some specific ingredients that you should not mix together, but as far as I know, when we talk about standard moisturisers there are no problems.

Another vote for Hydra Floral Emulsion, I searched for the perfect moisturiser for a long time and now that I've found it I'm not changing!!
