Hey folks! Like an idiot I accidentally grabbed a bottle of orange EO instead of tea tree oil the other day at the health food store. I can't return it, so I was just wondering if any of you know what I can use it for! It's not discussed a lot on this board, and I don't know much about it.
I have fairly oily/acne prone skin- will this oil work for my skin? |

from http://www.essentialoils.co.za/essential-oils/orange.htm:
"When used in a cream or lotion it also assists the lymphatic system, helping to detoxify a congested skin and although it is a good general skin tonic, it is great for older more mature skin, dealing with dermatitis, as well as acne and soothing a dry irritated skin. The general tonic action seems to stem from the action it has on supporting collagen formation in the skin, which is required for a healthy, young-looking skin."
I used a lot of orange oil when I suffered from acne during my essential oils course, and it really helped clearing up the acne. |

Do be careful, though, as I believe this will photosensitize your skin -- you'll want to be extra-sure you use adequate UV protection. I think it can also irritate super-sensitive skin types, so just do a patch test or be sparing at first. Hope you can find a use -- if nothing else, it smells fabulous, right? |
