Right now my makeup bag consists of concealer, mascara and blush. I don't intend to buy anything other than that. Not that I don't need to, but I just couldn't be bothered. However, for special occasions such as Christmas parties I'd like to be a bit more made up. For those of you in a situation such as mine, what do you do? I don't think I could go to a drug store and make myself up with display samples on the way to the party, and I certainly am not going to buy makeup that I will only use once a year. Also I can't see myself paying 50$ to get makeup applied for one evening. Any suggestions? |

If you want to keep it simple I would buy just an eye shadow and a lip gloss. I'm not sure what colors would look best on you, but a simple shimmery whitish silver color looks good on most and looks a little dressier. |

Most makeup counters will do your makeup for free now, even without purchase. I would just call before hand and check.
Or you could wait and repurchase your staples at around the holidays, that way you get the makeup application and end up with something you will actually use.
Of course slipping the MU artist some cash never hurt either! I have never know anyone to turn down cash around the holidays, just be discreet and tasteful about it. |

The right color blush, can double as a shadow. The two shades in one compact would be perfect for you. That with a nice colored lip gloss + mascara, is probably all you need..
Simple + natural is always pretty! |
