I bought a nuface mini a couple of years ago used it initally but then we moved house and I stopped for a while went to use it again and found that although it would charge it wouldn't turn on. Opened it up and saw that one of the batteries was slightly corroded and so no longer working.
The batteries look like they could be replaces but would need to be soldered on. Has anyone done this or had a repair person do it? Its out of warrenty anyway so was thinking I may as well try? |

Well in case anyone is interested I was able to swap out the battery and get the nuface mini working again! It was a bit tricky but only needed a few tools soldering kit some cable ties and new batteries so I'm happy and saved myself £150! |

Obviously that's not what they're expecting us to do. They just want us to buy replacements.
Right?
Where did you find the batteries? |

Yeah they just want you to buy a new device every few years. I think the old style Nuface had a battery compartment you could access to put new batteries in so the new design is obviously to make you buy a new one.
The batteries are 1.2V 600mAh 2/3AA NiMH Single Cell Battery with Tags on the same side. The mini takes two and the trinity takes 4 of the same kind I believe. I also used 750mAh as I couldn't find the 600mAh here in the UK but that is just the capacity and doesn't matter as long as the voltage and size is correct.
I got them from a battery merchent in the UK called component shop. |

Hi,
Can you tell me how you disassemble your Nuface mini. I can't seem to get the cover to open up. |

There are clips at the bottom and sides on the Nuface mini that needed to be pressed in with a small flat screwdriver to open the back cover. Then turn the stainless balls counterclockwise to remove them. You will see two very tiny zip ties that hold the back cover to the unit. Just cut them with a razor blade to remove the back cover from the unit. |
