If anyone has used a product with peptide complex Matrixyl 3000 - please share your opinion.
Any success with it? any improvements in wrinkles?
the claims for this ingredient are so far-reaching and promising, I`d like to hear the real-life stories.
thank you! |

I use matryxl 3000 and have noticed it does plump my lines, indentations, wrinkles though not nearly the effect I was hoping for. It is definitely a solid part of my routine though. |

KrazyKat, what product are you using?
can it be used for under-eye wrinkles or crow`s-feet?
and would you mind telling your age?
thanks! |

I used a product with a pretty high concentration of Matrixyl3000, and it really stung my skin and irritated my eyes. Not the right active for my hyper-sensitive skin. It could've been another ingredient though. |

Cellularskin-rx's Super Max Serum contains Matrixyl 3000. I've used it in conjunction with other actives (Vitamin C serum, retinoid, and AHA) as part of my normal skincare routine. Their version is very reasonably priced in comparison to some other Matrixyl 3000 products. It's hard for me to disaggregate its effects from my other actives, but I am happy enough with it to continue to order and use it. |

^^ I also use the I'll Get you Lines my Pretty by this same homebased company. It really did seem to plump up the creases at the corner of my eyes, much better than the product containing Arigilene [hexapeptide-3], which proved to be more effective on forehead and neck lines. I don't completely understand the science behind Matrixyl 3000 vs. Arigilene and how they work differently to decrease wrinkles, I just know the different products are more effective depending upon where I apply them if that makes any sense. |

thank you KrazyKat and Athena!
Athena, as far as I know, Argireline reduces lines in the way of relaxing muscles, like Botox do, but much milder, while Matrixyl builds up or promotes building up skin collagen.
I would not consider using Argireline except for 11 lines between the brows or for forehead lines, as I hate to think that it may cause sagging with all this muscle-relaxation effect. |

You can get Matrixyl 3000 solution and then add it to your lotions/creams or use it on its own. You can get the solution on several sites including cellbone: http://cellbone.com/Matrixyl_Solution.htm |

Thank you Aiva - maybe that explains why Matrixyl works better for the corner of my eyes and the other works best on my forehead, it kind of makes sense! |

I think it can be found in the Kate Somerville Nourish moisturizer I use...I'm not 100% certain though. I've been using the moisturizer for half a year now and my skin hasn't reacted badly to it. I don't really need an anti-wrinkle moisturizer but I didn't think it was bad to start early! Overall, I quite like it, at least I haven't noticed any wrinkles developing! |
