Has anyone had a reaction (like a rash) to the carrier ingredients in retin-a micro - not the Trentinoin itself?
Or, anyone know if any of them are known to cause reactions?
Ingredients: Tretinoin in methyl methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer, benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene, carbomer 974P, cyclomethicone and dimethicone copolyol, disodium EDTA, glycerin, PPG-20 methyl glucose ether distearate, propylene glycol, sorbic acid, trolamine.
Thanks! |

Hi Shelly,
I tried using Retin-A micro years ago and had to discontinue it after about a week. I do know that your skin has to be COMPLETELY dry before putting it on your skin (you should wait like 10 mins after cleansing) and never use it after intense treatments like scrubs or peels. Also, only use the size of a pea to cover the entire face and stay away from your eyes. Try only using it at night and don't forget a sunscreen!
My sister, however, has used it for years and has had amazing results with it but she did go through the "ugly period" (peeling, breaking out, etc.) before her skin got used to it. Perhaps I just didn't stick it out long enough. HTH |

I used this off and on for about 3 years. My skin just looked ugly and rough. Drying would only appear when I stopped, I don't use it anymore as my skin just looks better without it. Now I am using PSF .5% without problems. |
