I saw this question posted a while back, but it was never resolved. Anyone?
I can't find any info on this in the Resty FAQs, nor on MMH.

Fawnie, that’s an interesting question. Never heard of that before.
I get Perlane (the larger molecule size of Restylane) in my lips about once a year, not really to increase volume but to correct a slight depression from an accident related surgical scar. Been doing so for a few years, maybe 4?
I’ve also been taking 500 mg MSM twice a day, for 18months I think, maybe more. Can’t say I’ve noticed the Perlane disappearing faster since taking MSM, but then I’ve heard the more times you have Perlane the longer it lasts, so hard to tell I guess. Sorry, this probably doesn’t answer your question |

Thanks Appletini!
You only need Perlane once a year??
I am so in love with my lips now with the Resty that I hate to risk compromising it, but no one seems to have heard any buzz about the MSM/Resty anywhere, so guess it was just a rumor.
I had skimpy little lips before and now I actually can see them again! DH loves them too mmmmmmmwah! |

MSM is mostly used as an anti-inflammatory agent, hence all the people with painful joint issues, etc. People with Rosacea also benefit greatly from MSM as it reduces the red, flushed appearance..as for reducing the Restlene, I doubt it would have that effect...
Out of curiosity, is it painful to get injections into the lips? Secondly, is it reasonably priced compared to other cosmetic procedures??I would be afraid of having a mistake made, although it is very tempting for woman with thinner lips... |
