I know a lot of people really hate clinique products but this product is awesome. I'll admit that I'm not much of a clinique fan myself but I searched high and low for a year to find a product that could soothe my insanely chapped, peely, irritated lips. I am not exaggerating when I say my lips really made my life hell last summer. I have no idea what caused them to react so terribly but for almost a year, my lips were constantly burning, peeling off, and unbelievably ugly looking. I tried everything possible and the only thing that made things better for me were the Elidel cream that my doctor prescribed for me and clinique superbalm. Elidel basically "cured" the problem but I had to keep using it if I wanted to keep the results. I didn't want to become dependent on a prescription medication so I continued to search for a product that would "cure" my lips. Clinique superbalm has done this.
Superbalm is slightly thick and sticky but the results are worth it for me. I layer superbalm on top of a thin layer of vaseline and it leaves my lips soft and moisturized. I currently use the shade "current." It's a plumish color that I find a bit too purple so I'm going to buy the rasberry shade next, which looks a bit more pink.
I have no idea what ingredients have caused this to work for me but I have a feeling some may find this product too artificial. Superbalm feels like it has quite a bit of synthetic ingredients so if you're looking for a shea butter lip balm, this won't be it. Shea balm, despite it's raves, did nothing for me. Vaseline on it's on only masked the problem temporarily and then flared up a hour after application. Chapsticks did nothing either.
Superbalm is awesome and I'll keep buying it till the day I die, I'm sure...lol |

All clinique isn't inherently evil. I haven't used the superbalm, but I like their lipsticks and quickliner for eyes. I also really like Super City block. |

I like the superbalm and also their "Full Potential Lip" lipgloss, it's shiny and somehow I do think it makes my lips look bigger. Downside is it doesn't last that long, but while it's on it's nice. I also love that cityblock...but I steer clear of their skincare after many years of use and failure. |

Huge Superbalm fan here - was the only think that helped my super chapped lips. Instant relief and then lasting improvement. |
