Hello Everyone
This is my first post so please be gentle
I brought a tub of Laura Mercier Mineral Powder yesterday. In the shop the consultant applied it to my face and it looked wonderful so I swiftly brought some.
However, this morning when I applied it to my face I find the colour too dark. It's looks really weird because my neck is so much lighter.
I'm really upset. What can I do? Do you think the shop will exchange it for me considering it's been opened and used? I have the receipt but I don't have the box.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
I look forward to chatting to you all. |

Most stores will exchange as long as you kept the receipt...another great tip to help you get the right color is to get out of the lighting in the stores/malls. Get into natural light...you'll be surprised at the difference!

If they become kind of "funny" about returning the product, you could argue that later your face started with a burning sensation and became very red and itchy. Most skin care and cosmetics should have a return policy about allergies and you could buy the right shade somewhere else. Or say your friend try it, but need a lighter shade or just make something up.M |

Once you have the receipt (sure you wouldn't have known what it shade was was until you opened it) I have returned make up opened and not a problem when you have a good reason which you have and the receipt. |

Hello
I went back and the consultant (not the same one) exchanged it for me no questions asked.
And there I was making up loads of different reasons/excuses as to why I needed an exchange LOL. |

Glad to hear they exchanged it. After all, it was the consultant that picked the colour for you. How does the new colour look? |

It looks really good. I'm using Classic Beige and it's a very good match for me. The finish of this product is brilliant. Even though it's a powder it doesn't look cakey at all and gives a lovely sheer cover that evens out my skin tone. I don't even look like I'm wearing any make-up. I'm really thrilled. Loving it |
