I have melasma and am in search of my HG sunscreen. I take all precautions - avoid the sun, wear hats, tinted car windows. I absolutely hate wearing sunscreen because I've not found something that is high protection without being like an uneven cakey layer on my face, breaking me out or generally irritating my skin. And, sometimes I wonder if some of the chemical based ones I've tried doesn't actually make my melasma darker. If I'm avoiding the sun in every other way, I was wondering where I might be able to compromise on sunscreen to get to a product that is more cosmetically elegant.
Does anyone know with melasma, where one virtually avoids the sun, is it SPF or PPD that is most important to get as high as possible? Or both?
Thanks. |
