Iknow Clinique kinda has a bad rep because of their cleansing and toning products but I was wondering what people thought about their moisturizers. The reason I ask is because the place where I work is going to be selling Clinique soon and I always liketo hear customer feedback before I recommend a product. Any experiences you have had and would like to share would be great! |

jenw, I used Clinique for years and I really like the dramatically different moisturizing gel...the lotion was a bit too heavy for me, but the gel was just right. My only complaint was that because it's yellow I think it gave my skin a little bit of a sallow look if I used too much, but it was very moisturizing. I also liked Thirsty Skin gel (it was pink, so it didn't make me look yellow) and their "all about eyes" is good for younger skin I think. If you're just getting started in skincare, Clinique is very accessible and fun to try. I think their makeup is fun too and I love their lip-plumping lip gloss, the eyeliner in the little pot (it's like a paste) and their bronzer...really natural looking. So all-in-all, it's a good place to start with skincare if you're new and I think it does work for some people. My boyfriend swears by the M Lotion SPF 20 or whatever...and since the bottles are all dark grey he seems ok with using it. That's my take...HTH! |

Clinique has good and not so good skin care products; just like any skin care line (even the super $$$ ones!)
I like the MILD action clarifying lotion (no number). It has .5% bha and aloe and it is not harsh like #2 (that contains more alcohol)
The liquid soap is more mild that the bar soap. I do like the makeup remover in a bottle for mascara removal (especially water resistant) and prefer the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (in a jar). It liquidifys on contact and removes water resistant sunscreen and MMU well. It feels like an oil but does rinse off well.
I also like the 7 day scrub as a gentle scrub; it can also be used on lips (gets rid of the dry skin).
While I have lots of the yellow DDML from GWP, it is just an OK moisturizer. I do have the sunscreen spf 40 (repurchased). I also tried the Redness Solution spf 15 correcting cream.
I would steer people away from the #2 toner and the bar soap (particulary extra strength). Those two products have been around for decades and Clinique has added improved cleansing gels & milks & foaming cleansers to their line.

clinique just is no good for my skin, especially the moisturizer. It causes breakouts with, but that's just me. |

I tried Clinique moisturizer a few years back and wasn't extremely satisfied with the results. But everyone's skin is different. I do, however, use Clinique's liquid concealer and it works well!
Best of luck! |

Clinique has NO fragrance or perfume in the skin care or cosmetics. (They do sell perfume.) As far as dept. store products go; it is one of the more affordable lines here. |

I tried a few of their products about a year ago, and even though my memory's a bit fuzzy, I do remember that I hated them ALL---I used the dramatically different moisturing lotion and it was soooo greasy that straight after application, I had to blot. And I'm Asian, so have yellow undertones and the lotion is yellow which made it look like I had jaundice
I got their pore minimising mask and serum/lotion and whilst the serum did leave a matte finish that made my pores less visible, I wasnt willing to spend £££ on it when I can put a layer of pearl powder to have the same effect. The mask however, didnt minimise my pores nor did it leave a clean feeling when washed off, which most clay type masks do.
I've used maybe another 2 or 3 more Clinique products but I cant remember what they were.

I have tried many different Clinique products and all of the face products that I tried (even the "oil free" ones) made me break out. |
