I need a recommendation for a moisturizer that I can safely use over differin gel so it won't impact the viability of differin. Can someone make a recommendation? I have oily acne prone skin. Thanks! |

When I was using Differin (many years ago) my dermatologist at the time recommended Nutraderm Therapeutic Lotion and Cetaphil Lotion. I preferred the texture of the Nutraderm lotion over the Cetaphil. |

Gel is more appropriate for oily skin. |

If you're oily, you probably do not need a moisturizer. My policy is the fewer products you use the better. That said, if you must use one (but again, if you're oily, you probably don't need one), you should try a dab of a basic, no-frills moisturizer, one that you know hasn't broken you out in the past, one that you know you can reliably use with no adverse reactions (this is highly variable, of course). |

I'm still using my Cellcosmet, Ultra Vital. I would also suggest Moisteral that is only sold in Canada. |

jadette you can also try using Differin Cream. I used Differin for years and depending on what my skin needed I would use either the Gel or the Cream. The only hassle with doing it this way is that you need two prescriptions-one for the Gel and one for the Cream.
BTW I had oily skin and thought that the Cream version provided a nice amount of moisture without being too rich. |
