Hi,
has any of you tried the following:
-Dermawand
http://www.dermawands.net/
-Oxylight
http://www.dermawands.net/
whats the difference between oxylight and dermawand anyways?
-Skinlift Light
http://www.gloriamartel.com/introduction.html
-Beurer Softlaser
http://www.skincarelaser.com/
-Panasonic Nano Facial Ionic Steamer
http://www.panasonic-hk.com/ha/productlist.asp?section=BC&category=IS&language=english
I've seen this on an asian beauty show and it looked very promising... I was wondering if you guys know any steamer similiar to this one? (it reduces water size to 1/8000 of its regular size, allowing our skin "drinking" up the water)
- Sonic facecare (or something along the line)
this device uses supersonic technology to ace the absorption of your skincare products. it stimulates your skin to produce collagen as well as boosting the metabolism of your skin. helps with wrinkles and acne... (if you guys know what brand i'm talking about please mention it because i forgot the exact name)
so i'm thinking of getting the nano steamer, and either the sonic facecare or the oxylight/dermawand...
any suggestions?
or do you guys know other devices that i can look into?
Thanks,
April. |

I have DermaWand and I like the idea that you can adjust the strength. It goes up to 10 strength.
I think they are all the same including Zeno.
I guess you need to find the one that start fast once you plug it in and more control of the strength.
So far, can't complain about DermaWand. No waiting period to warm up and the strength is adjustable.
Zeno, you have to wait a couple of minutes and to dry up pimples, you have to zap it for 2 1/2 minutes where with the DermaWand, it is for 30 seconds.
I hope this helps |

Just to let you know that it does not make your hyperpigmentation worse, it just bring it out more and then burn it off. I think is is a lower grade from IPL facial but I could be wrong.
I was going to sign up for medical aesthetics but I am in between jobs right now, and it is on hold for now. I can't wait to learn more!
I hope other people can comment on these type of devices. |

I think Dermawand and OxyLight are the same thing, just different name / brand.
I bought OxyLight about 3 months ago. It supposed to bring more Oxygen to your skin. Faithfully used it for 2 months, morning and night but did not see any result. I used it for my wrinkles |

I have the dermawand and beuer laser. I have had the dermawand for years, I try to use it at night after I have applied my creams. I love the beuer as well, have used it for about 1 year. My skin looks more even toned and luminous. hths. (I recommend both, lol!) |

I have the clarisonic and I am thrilled with it. My face has never been so smooth. My face products seem to melt into my skin and my makeup looks flawless. I am very happy that I splurged on this product |

The clarisonic looks pretty interesting and has great reviews so far on MUA, but good grief it's expensive! $195 for a face brush! |

I have been using the OxyLight. It's great with saggy skin. I don't know about the wrinkles though. It's also good with healing the acne. |

I dont know anything about the ones you listed, but I am familiar with FaceMaster (www.facemaster.com ), which is the one Suzanne Somers promotes. It is to tone the face.
I have not really used mine enough to comment, but a friend in the US swears by it for long term effect, especially they eyes (she said it helped her with drooping; makes her eyes appear more "open") |

tiger_tim: Have you seen your friend lately? Can you tell any improvement?
I might ask my hubby to get me the facial steamer in May when he travel to the Orient. |

OK, that Dermal Tone has caught my attention. I was getting ready to buy the new model Face Master, but I sure like the look of a single unit that can also effectively do the neck. I also like that there are no replacement pads or whatever and that you can get with electricity (AND they have it available in 240 volts and PAL video.. but wish they had DVD)
My problem area is the jawline and under the eye brow. Cheeks are still nice and firm (that video on the dermal tone website where the lady did a half-face trial.. the way she can pull out the skin on the unused side.. SCAREY )
Anyway, I have a question: what kind of lotion do you have to use with this? It is just any skin cream or what? |

I bought a similar machine as Dermal Tone more than 10 years ago, maybe 15. Just digged out from my closet and it's called Connie Stevens - The Time Machine. It needs a special gel to activate the pulse. I did not expect much because I did not use it or hear from them for more than 10 years. But after checked online, to my surprise, they still existed!!! And the machine, and the special gel!!! I'll order the gel and use it AGAIN!!! I don't believe I still have the machine, the instruction manual and judith Jackson facial massage chart that came with it!! My husband calls me "gabage collector." |

I feel almost embarassed admitting to all the products I've owned over the years.. I have had 3 Connie Stevens 'Time Machines'...LOL I loved them, which is why I owned 3.. The first generation, then 2 of another generation, thinking I could do both sides of my face at once...LOL
When I saw the Dermal Tone, I got it, because of the 3 node things... The time Machine is great, but the Dermal Tone is so much better...
As far as special lotion, you don't need it.. For the Time Machine or the Dermal Tone... You can use any OTC lotion as long as it's water based.. But, I had forgotten, I used to just use straight water and it works out just fine with no gloppy lotion all over to boot! MaryH reminded me of using just water, like I said I had forgotten that's the way I used to do it... |

Hi MAC...
I got my first one, when she first came out with it.. However long ago that was... Back in the 80's sometime.. The original was white, and a little different design... I never had/have a problem using water with the TM or DT...
When I ran out of the skin quencher, I would use cheap aloe gel like you get at Walmart.. I started with water just because I got sick of all the lotion and gel buildup... |

I hope it works for you.. I also remembered that I would pat my face first with water before using the gel.. I honestly don't remember if Connie said to do this with the skin quencher or not.. But it will also help thinthe aloe gel a bit, unless you want it think.. I guess like most things, just experiment... See what works best for you... |
