Hi everyone,
I think I probably made an interesting discovery last night so I wanted to share it with the rest of you... I suffer from very dry feet nad have been using a product called Pedikur which you can ONLY purchase via QVCUK (priced at approx. £28 incl. postage; you receive 200ml lotion plus herbal foot cream). I just came to the end of the bottle and wanted to reorder (this product really does work magic!!!) but at the same time was not terribly bothered about repurchasing the herbal cream. QVCUK don't sell these products separately, they only come in this one particular set.
I did a bit of a search on the net and came across this site http://balsan-cosmetic.de/Homepage/index_ENG.html
It appears to me that this might be the very same product (just a different name) but for a much more reasonable price. I actually ordered a large 500ml bottle (they do worldwide delivery unlike QVCUK) so I will report when it gets to me. See for yourselves and let me know if you've had any experience with Balsan products.

Hello everyone,
I have received my package from Germany with the Balsan products today (it took approx. a week to get to me in the UK which I think is very reasonable). I am now almost entirely convinced that Pedikur and Balsan are the same products (both include the following ingredients: Aqua, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Borate, CI 45350).
I think I should have perhaps explained what this product is all about (although if you do a search on this site it has been discussed by some members before plus some UK members might have caught the slightly repulsive demonstration of Pedikur products on QVCUK). Both, Pedikur and Balsan are a lotion that you apply onto a cotton wool and then directly onto your feet (wherever you suffer from hard skin), plus you can then wrap your feet in cling film to increase the product's effectiveness. You leave it working for approx. 20 min; it will literally disolve all the hard skin that you can then take off with a blunt object. It can be repeated every 7 days or so and I personally find it brilliant, effective and easy to do. I was especially pleased to discover Balsan since the price (incl. p&p) is a lot more reasonable than when purchased from QVC.

Thanks Evi! I was waiting to hear an update on your initial post. I'm glad you think it's the same product because I had wanted to try the Pedikur for a while but I can't find it here. I'll have to check out the Balsan one and see what the postage to Australia would be like. |

@Evi
I have not checked the Balsan-thing so I can not comment on any comparison cause I admit I prefer to buy from QVC even if it is a little more expensive. With QVC I can be sure they have checked the item thoroughly and to me that's worth something too.
I d just like to share one experience I had 2 years ago with a face cream called Nefertiti or so. It had the same list of ingredients on the label like a cream I already knew but it would not work the same. I later learned that the recipe is the key not the ingredients. May be the same as it is with Coca Cola. There are plenty similar soft drinks available but there is only one Coke! Sticking to the original has served me well in past years rather than trying this and that.
