I just purchased Vanicream SPF 35 Suncreen Sport from Drugstore.com and I love it! It was exceptionally well rated onwww.cosmeticdatabase.com and has no dyes, lanolin, fragrance, masking fragrance, parabens, formaldehyde or other preservatives. Yes, it has a white cast and takes a bit of rubbing, but it soon disappears. Since it is oil free and non greasy, it is perfect for my acne prone facial skin.
Quick question......I know this topic has been discussed, but I think this may be a physical sunblock, since the active ingredients are Zinc Oxide 8% and Octinoxate 7.5%. Okay, if this is a physical block, than it is not recommended to use mineral make up over it.
So if this is the case, may I use non-mineral bronzer / blushes over the sunscreen. It seems that even non mineral makeup would have some form of mineral contents? Am I wrong about this? I normally use Nars bronzer and Sephora "blush me". I also use Bobbi Brown corrector. |

It is fine to use MMU over a physical sunscreen. You can't use a sunscreen with avobenzone in it with MMU. It is fine to use MMU over the Vanicream you purchased which isn't a true physical sunscreen because it has the Octinoxate in it. True physical sunscreens only have zinc and/or titanium dioxide in them. |

What is the issue between mineral makeup and avobenzone? Does it cause a reaction or something? |

Some mineral makeups degrade the avobenzone. Here is an interesting link for the chemically inclined that explains it fairly well.
